Portraits @shirinbahns 🩷@shirinbahns : The stories that we tell ourselves are the foundation of how we feel about ourselves.for a long time, i told myself a story where i had to be smaller, quieter, less visible, easier to overlook. i was afraid of photos, afraid of being seen, afraid that what i would see wouldn’t be enough. so i hid, not just from others, but from myself.but at some point, something shifted. i realized it was never about the camera and never about the outside. everything started to change when i changed. not the way i looked, but the way i saw myself. The moment i gave myself permission to stop shrinking and start accepting myself, something softened. and suddenly, being seen didn’t feel like a threat anymore. it felt like coming home to myself. by @camjtl
