As the Balance of things tends more and more towards Bankruptcy, the feeling of imminent collapse breeds the spirit of renewal; but can renewal also mean going back to our roots?
As we observed our surroundings we couldn’t avoid seeing correlation between modernism and loss of identity - as if the details that once used to speak about cultural traditions, local habits and beliefs, became something needed to be sterilized, erased, smoothed out and trashed away, in exchange for a static, perfectly polished society, where community is threatened to not manifest itself.
We are not here do demonize the future; rather to honour the past.
A past made of presence in the creative process, of tales, of collective-memory-shaped entertainment. And more than that, entertainment as a ritual of gathering, experiencing and exploring.
We are excited for what’s to come and to put all of this into shape. This season, Balance Bankruptcy becomes :MetaFolk, a ground for getting to know undead fluxworkers and their spiritually-aware narratives, for sharing, interacting, exploring - and shaping- folk in its present connotations.

For the birds whose chants remain unheard,
We’ll sing away the silence that separates us
