Big couple of weeks bouncing across the USA! @usrowing Youth Nationals gets bigger & better every year. And then had the duties of hauling the event truck 2100km back up to Connecticut. Travel is definitely not kind on the body, but the best way to bounce back is to ignore the red dashboard and get back out there for a few big sessions. So finished off the week with a half marathon on the erg. It’s actually the longest erg session I’ve ever completed. @danlynch203 was an inspiration for this one, having racked up 1000 continuous days on the erg, while battling through cancer. Makes my last fortnight seem relatively easy to navigate in comparison! taken in Sarasota, Florida by @cammcmc

@drewginn you’ve thrown down the gauntlet…..so I’m coming after you! After a lot of recent travel I’ve reintroduced myself to the erg and had a solid few weeks of workouts. Core program 4x4min on /3min off at around 85-90% target 2km score. 5x500m /2min off at 105% target…should probably do this x2. Then 10km steady state for volume. Finishing off with a 2km hitout ideally each week. This week tried rowing shorter(!) on the erg, making sure not going past shins vertical, and not hitting the cage. Helped A LOT with staying in a strong position at the front, and keeping rate up +2-3 beats. Still plenty of rate (& hopefully speed) to find! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @cammcmc
