I’m hosting my first ever curated exhibition titled ‘WITNESS ME’, an exploration of grief.

What — a raw, vulnerable and inspiring in-person experience you don’t want to miss! Curated films, paintings, writings, and more from 11 artists + creative individuals.

When — Friday 25th September 2026, 6:30-8:30pm - ONE NIGHT ONLY

Who — Maybe you’ve experienced a form of grief/loss firsthand, or know someone who has. Maybe you admire bold creativity and vulnerable self-expression. Maybe you’re just looking for a safe & welcoming space to WITNESS others in their expression.

Where — Ruma Studio, 5 Florence St, Brunswick VIC

Bring your friends, loved ones or simply yourself. This will be a cosy yet meaningful evening to celebrate art and the role that creativity plays in traversing the challenges of life.

Expect: inspiring art/artists, herbal teas, an interactive activity & a chance to reflect.

Exhibition open between 6:30-8:30pm, allow 45-60 minutes to fully digest the whole exhibition.

On September 25th 2026, I’m hosting my first ever art exhibition here in Melbourne! Nestled in the cosy @ru.ma_studio in Brunswick from 6-8pm, I’ll be presenting works from various artists (including myself) in different mediums, exploring the interpretive theme of grief 🎨❤️‍🩹

This has been a huge task to tackle, and I definitely threw myself into the deep end with this spontaneous idea, but I’m learning a lot along the way 🧠

The inspiration for this exhibition stemmed from my own creative practice and how it helps me process my life & emotions. As well as this, I have been curious about events and bringing people together for quite some time, so this was the perfect opportunity to combine all these ideas 🤝

HELLO! I’m curating my first ever art exhibition, here in Melbourne, next month!!

The idea for ‘WITNESS ME’ was birthed from my own relationship to creativity, and how it’s aided me in processing deep emotions and impact life experiences - especially grief. I’m also passionate about events, community & the curation of art.

Just over a year ago I lost one of the most important people in my life, suddenly and unexpectedly. And in the last 12 months I have navigated a challenging journey of processing this loss. Filmmaking, writing, drawing, music has always been an outlet for me to tap into these difficult experiences, and so I wanted to create the opportunity for myself and others to share creations exploring this theme.

This one-night exhibition is a celebration of art and creativity. I’m looking for artists of any background, age or skill-level to submit work to potentially be featured in the exhibition next month.

It’s been over a month since I moved to Melbourne. I probably expected to have a huge transformation, but I haven’t. In fact, it’s been much more subtle, but equally as present.

I feel like a bit of a late bloomer to my 20’s. I haven’t been to uni, nor worked a 9-5. I was literally living at home rent-free until 39 days ago. It’s tempting to compare my life to everyone else around me, but that’s a slippery road with no destination.

I think fear has maybe been a factor in my hesitations. Fear of uncertainty, and maybe more so fucking up. Fear of making misaligned choices. But I’ve made plenty of those and come out the other side with new learnings about myself.

Aside from immigrating to Australia when they were toddlers, neither of my parents have lived outside of Adelaide. This was always something I wanted to expand upon. Melbourne is a baby step, and I’d love to explore other parts of the world too.

I have incredible privilege to be where I am and have the experiences I have, and I’m super grateful for that. For now, I hope to utilize my time in Melbourne to build as a creative and an artist, but also just to fuck up, grow, and have fun.

We follow as he ventures into the streets of Melbourne, and takes a chance on a new barber. What lessons does he learn along the way?
