𝗖𝗗𝗣𝗠 (𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹) represents an evolutionary rather than revolutionary approach to camouflage: it retains the familiar visual DNA of the long serving Indonesian DPM/“Malvinas” pattern while redesigning its scale, geometry, tonal distribution and disruptive structure for the visual demands of the modern battlefield. Compared with the legacy DPM, CDPM is designed to provide more effective disruption across a broader range of environments—from dense tropical vegetation and plantations to open woodland, scrub and transitional terrain—by reducing recognizable human contours and avoiding excessive dependence on a single dominant background colour. Importantly, retaining recognizable DPM design cues preserves institutional continuity, national identity and soldier familiarity, making modernization less culturally and operationally disruptive. In essence, CDPM does not discard the heritage of the Indonesian soldier; it evolves that heritage into a camouflage system better suited to contemporary multi-terrain operations.

Since our last post about camo got plenty of interest then we thought it would be fair to share our usual R&D process during the trial phasing stage of our signature 𝗖.𝗢.𝗥.𝗘 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄, a joint collaborative camouflage with @camovault, for the urban environment
.
We were a bit surprised but glad at the same time because the 'dark' camouflage meant for night ops & intimidation effect, could effectively mimic the surroundings during daytime in a sunny condition. The test showed how engineered pattern & fabric can help conceal the operator in more than just one spectrum of brightness
.
This video was taken on the following conditions:

Location: Urban setting with stones (batu kali) & concrete backdrop
Time: Daytime in the afternoon around 15:00 PM
Brightness: Sunny Day with hazy rays
Humidity: High
Visual Distance: +/- 35m (with zoom up to 3x)
Camera: Samsung S24 main camera

In the modern battlespace, camouflage must defeat more than the human eye. Multispectral camouflage is essential because modern forces are increasingly detected through thermal, near-infrared (NIR), short-wave infrared (SWIR), and other electro-optical sensors, often long before visual contact. Effective camouflage therefore must reduce an operator’s overall signature across multiple detection bands, while preserving mobility, durability, and practicality in the field. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 strives to develop and provide practical multispectral camouflage solutions that bridge the gap between conventional visual camouflage and the realities of sensor-driven warfare—helping personnel and equipment remain harder to detect, recognize, and track.

Throwback to 2019 when we design this 3 colors only 𝗭𝟯𝗞𝗘 Camo Pattern. We rarely use 3 colors in any design and this is probably the only one we ever printed.
