When we created this event, we had grieving hearts in mind. It’s so hard navigating grief, let alone understanding how to process the grief alone. This event gives you an opportunity to process your grief and honor the memory of your loved one in a beautiful way with new found community. Bloom in Grief is COMPLETELY FREE to attend, and all supplies (pottery, soil, seeds) are included in your registration. Donations are welcomed!!

Something beautiful is blooming… and we are SO excited to finally share it with you! 🌿🤎✨

After months of dreaming, planning, and pouring love into creating something meaningful for grieving families, we are officially hosting our FIRST event as a nonprofit — Bloom in Grief. 🥹

This special evening was created for anyone navigating the loss of a loved one and looking for a space filled with connection, creativity, remembrance, and community. Together, we’ll honor those we love through pottery decorating, planting birth flowers, heartfelt conversation, and moments that remind us healing doesn’t have to happen alone. 🌸

We’re incredibly honored to host this event at The Holy Grind Concord ☕️🤎 @holygrindconcord

✨ The event is completely FREE to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated and help support the mission of Camp Grayson as we continue building safe spaces for grieving families in our community.

God met me in Texas. 🥹 I’ll have to do a video talking about the incredible God encounters I had during my time in Fort Worth, TX, but until then enjoy this small glimpse into what that weekend was like attending the @gathering_hope conference. LIFE CHANGING is the best way I can describe it.

I left Texas with a renewed hope, a deeper level of healing, and a GOD given vision of what’s to come of not only my life, but of @camp_grayson 🙏🏾🥹 God is faithful!

Can somebody help me learn how to properly vlog?! Ahaahhahaha your girl wants to bring you into her life, but I can’t seem to figure out how?! Maybe I’m overthinking it 🫠 anywho, thank you to all who continue to pray, encourage and pour into me! CAMP GRAYSON IS ABOUT TO BE LARGER THAN LIFE! 🙌🏾 by @camp_grayson

Even though I’m not running the 5k, I’m STILL IN THE RACE!(You’ll catch that in the morning 😉) 🙌🏾💪🏾 Camp Grayson will be in Fort Worth, TX this weekend attending @gathering_hope conference and we are SO excited!!! This is an opportunity that is beyond a blessing for Camp Grayson and even more so, for ME. To be in a room FULL of moms like me….I’m already weeping! lol THIS is the type of work @camp_grayson is called to and I’m honored to be in the room. This will be healing. Thank you to @markeshatisby for this INCREDIBLE opportunity and the generosity you’ve extended towards me. (And shout out to my GIRL @pageelevenpapergoods for making the connection! 🤎)

Who am I?! 👀😂 a 5k?! Welp! Here we go!!!

I decided that enough was enough and I am tired of physically carrying the pain of my grief. We don’t realize that when we are not processing our grief in a healthy way, we end up PILING ON the impact of the grief in other ways. This is true for many of us, as we navigate the painful impact the loss of a loved one has on our daily lives.

Follow my journey as I train for my first ever 5k in hopes to release the literal WEIGHT of my grief! I think I should vlog this! What do y’all think?! 👀

Asking the SAME question, 10 different ways does not change the grieving parents response…🫠

Let’s be VERY honest….some people just don’t know WHAT to say after a loss like this. It almost is like people experience word vomit and cannot control their intrusive thoughts. The holidays seems to bring these type of questions out the most!

Just a word of advice: don’t ask. ❤️ 10 times out of 10, the grieving parent(s) aren’t even REMOTELY considering trying again after such an incredible heartbreak. Give them grace and SPACE to decide what’s right for them and their family.

Would you believe me if I told you I’ve had this reel in my drafts for a week? 🫠 I don’t know why I’ve been so fearful of sharing our story lately. Maybe it’s the fear of not knowing if my story will matter, or maybe it’s the fear of what emotions may come rushing in once I begin to share…whatever the reason, I’m silencing the fear today. Beginning with this post.

Nobody tells you the deep sorrow you will experience when you lose a baby. The longing you have for the son that you once held in your arms, skin to skin, and now he sits in a memory box in a custom teddy bear urn.

But I will talk about it. Here. As often as I can, and I will help as many as I can, that have or will walk this same path as me.

After losing my mom in 2011, and our baby boy, Grayson, in 2022, the holidays were difficult to celebrate. I couldn’t find the joy of the season buried under so much pain of those losses. I’m so blessed to have the village around me to support my family and I through those painful times. It makes the difference! ❤️

Many are still experiencing that same deep pain that grief causes around this time of the year, today. Let’s be mindful, patient and loving towards EVERYONE. You never know what someone may be grieving this season.

❤️👏🏾WE CANNOT WAIT to begin a with our first program: The Re-Up Sessions! This program gives grieving families an opportunity to connect with other grieving families and be encouraged to rebuild, restore and reconnect with their family while healing on their grief journey. The virtual sessions ARE FREE and will offer a chance to speak with an actual grief counselor, our very own chief clinical officer, and an opportunity to be led by our clinical director who will facilitate family building activities that range from learning how to bake cookies from scratch to how to build a “ junk journal “! These sessions are sure to be fun, but they will also be heart work. ❤️ We cannot wait to meet the families of Camp Grayson .
