Meet your camp counselors 👋

Okay, technically we’re the owners and hosts of Camp Roam. We plan the retreats, teach the education, create the experiences, handle the behind-the-scenes chaos, and then spend the week right there with you.

But “camp counselors” is more fun.🤣

We’re not disappearing once you check in. We’re eating dinner with you, exploring with you, sitting around the campfire with you, answering questions, teaching, laughing, troubleshooting, and experiencing the week alongside you.

So if you’re wondering who exactly you’re signing up to spend a week with… hi. It’s us. 😂

Dana - Brings the creative chaos, asks the questions that get everyone thinking differently, and is always ready to turn whatever we planned into an adventure.

Bri - The big-picture brain behind Camp Roam who cares deeply about the tiny details, the conversations people have, and whether everyone actually feels like they belong here.

Dad (Meaghan) - Keeps approximately 47 things moving behind the scenes and makes sure everyone is taken care of. Fair warning: if you don’t want to get deep about your life, your business, and possibly your childhood, don’t sit next to Dad. 😂

We have been building something for months.🤫

Ten retreats in, & we’ve finally locked in on what The Roam is supposed to feel like.

Not polished -> Real.
Not about the photos -> About the people.

A summer camp for photographers who are done going it alone. 🏕️

We started The Roam Collective because we wanted to fix something. We wanted a retreat that felt like community, not content. A space where you could grow without the pressure to perform. Where your people actually knew you.

This is everything we wished existed when we started.

Our first official Camp Roam retreat opens for early access on August twenty ninth. Public launch September first.
This is a new chapter. Summer camp energy. Community over content. Real education. Real friendship. Real change. 💙

Early Access for Camp Roam is officially open, and we added a little something extra for the people who decide to join us early.

If you sign up during Early Access, you’ll be invited to a bonus couples shoot at the lake on our last day of camp. 🌊📸

One more adventure together before we pack up and head home.

This shoot is only for our Early Access campers and won’t be included once Regular Camp Registration begins.

Early Access ends Sunday, October 11 at 6PM ET.

“I really want to come, but I don’t know anyone.”

We hear some version of this before almost every Camp Roam.

And weget it. Showing up to a house full of photographers you’ve never met can feel intimidating.

But here’s the thing: a lot of people come to Camp Roam without knowing anyone.

You don’t need to convince a friend to come with you. You don’t need to already know someone in the group. You don’t even have to be the person who’s great at walking into a room full of strangers.

That’s part of why Camp Roam has never just been about the shoots.

It’s afternoons sitting around making friendship bracelets.

It’s eating meals together. Going on adventures. Hanging around the house with nowhere you need to be. Staying up talking way later than you planned.

It’s all the little things that give you time to actually get to know the people you came to camp with.

So yes, you might show up to Camp Roam not knowing anyone.

But you won’t leave that way. 🤎

Camp Roam is heading to the Olympic Peninsula 🌲

And this one just feels SO Camp Roam.

Big trees, mountains, the coast, lots of exploring, and plenty of space for all the random little camp moments that somehow end up being the ones you remember most.

We can already picture all of us out there together and I’m very, very ready for it.

Happy National Parks Week 🏕️

Some of our favorite retreats and shoots have taken place in National Parks.

There’s just something about them. The quiet, the light, the way everyone stops performing and starts actually being present. 🥹

Since it’s National Park Week we’re sharing a few of our favorites from the trails that shaped us.

Also a gentle reminder because we love these places. Stay on the trail. Take your trash with you. Don’t be the reason a place gets loved to death. Leave no trace, always.✌🏼

Leaving Maine with the fullest heart. 🥹

This last week was more than we could’ve ever dreamed of. We’re constantly amazed by this community we have built and continue to grow.

Return campers becoming besties with new campers, girls trips being planned, bonding to the max, ice cream trips, legit camp vibes, and so, so, much more. 🥹

We can’t wait to do this again in OBX next March and can’t wait to see some of ya’ll there. 🫶🏻
