apollo, pollo, boboccino, pollo-chan

he went by many names, but was first and foremost, my baby. it’s with the heaviest heart that i had to say goodbye to my brave boy, my best friend, my soulmate.

i didn’t expect him. i wasn’t looking for a cat. yet somehow he found me. and while our time together was entirely too short, it was filled with more love, laughs, and cuddles than i could ever thank him for.

apollo left this world in my arms, surrounded by his aunties and siblings in the comfort of his home. he passed from an “enlarged heart”, which i find entirely too fitting, because my boy had more love in his heart than he knew what to do with.

some of the first words i ever spoke to him were “i love you, we’re gonna be best friends forever.” and i feel so lucky to say that we didn’t waste a single moment in making that true.

to all my friends who came to know and love him like their own, i thank you for seeing him and understanding what a special boy he truly was.

to my family, who helped me bring him up from a tiny little kitten covered in fleas who needed baths and bottle feeding all hours of the day, i thank you for your dedication and love you showed him from the very beginning.

to my baby artemis, for being the greatest little brother to pollo. you might be the only one who loved apollo as much as me. and even though he sometimes pretended not to, apollo loved you right back.

and to my boy, my angel, my apollo, it has been the greatest honor of my entire life to be your mom. coming home to your face and your cuddles every day got me through some of the lowest lows i’ve ever faced. i thank you for all the love, the laughs, and true friendship you showed me. i know we’re connected in this life and beyond, and that you’ll always be with me.

whatever our souls are made of, yours and mine are the same.

and what a blessing it was to experience the kind of love i learned through you. i will always be with you my baby. mommy is so happy you’re at peace. by @camperpipes

over two years ago, i wrote down the names of five mermaids and their powers. now, i can tangibly hold the first installment of their story in my hands (but you can’t yet, so sorry, i’m workin’ on it) ˚⋆𓇼˚⊹ 𖦹 ⁺｡°

Calliope, Celeste, Clarion, Cypher, and Cadence — it’s been the honor of a lifetime to tell your story. book 2/4 is almost complete; i’m so excited to keep adventuring with you all 🌊🧜🏽‍♀️
