No better way to celebrate being married to my handsome guy than a trip to Bend, Oregon to relax for the weekend.

We stayed at the @campfirehotel and let 👏🏼 me 👏🏼 tell 👏🏼 you…we fell in love the second we drove onto the property.

We had such an awesome stay @campfirehotel this weekend in Bend! We loved the laid back atmosphere with the rooms decorated in a retro vibe campground motif down to the classic lawn chairs and @gorumpl camp blankets.

The location was perfect, in the center of @thebendcentraldistrict and just ten minutes from downtown and the Old Mill District as well. The hotel has all of the amenities you could want. They have a year-round salt water pool and hot tub, and if you forget your suit they have you covered with affordable choices in their lobby shop.

Onsite, the @canteenatcampfirehotel bar serves craft cocktails in a cute little space with a deck overlooking the pool and on the weekends they have a live DJ. Right across the street they have an excellent casual dining, buffalo wing restaurant @fotmbend that also serves fresh salads and sandwiches.

For more dining options you can walk just two blocks from the hotel to visit the Canteen's sister bar @dogwoodatthepineshed where they have six different food trucks that you can order from while you sip on their craft mocktails and cocktails. It's one of our favorite spots in Bend with eclectic artwork and a funky vibe. They are open for lunch, dinner and late night.

At night the hotel is not just serving up their cocktails you can also swim or go sit by their huge bonfire. You can grab your s'mores kits in the shop if you don't bring your own.

The beds were so comfortable and we were impressed with how clean the room was, down to the caulking in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Such a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

Floating the Deschutes through the Old Mill District is an iconic local summer activity—and a little planning makes the experience even better.

Quick float tips:
📍 Put in: Riverbend Park
🏁 Take out: Drake Park
⏱️ Plan on roughly two hours for the full route
🚐 Use Park & Float, across from The Pavilion at 1000 SW Bradbury Way, for parking, tube rentals and shuttle access
🌊 When you reach Bend Whitewater Park, use the designated Passageway channel for floaters. Prefer to skip it? Exit before the Colorado Avenue Bridge, walk around and re-enter near McKay Park
🦺 Children 12 and younger are required to wear a life jacket—and they’re a smart choice for every river adventurer
📱 Secure your phone, keys and other belongings before getting in the water

After a day on the Deschutes, head back to Campfire for a dip in our saltwater pool, a soak in the hot tub, drinks at The Canteen and a night around the fire. 🔥🍹
