@blackcollegeexpo invited 16 of my super nieces, nephews and I to their annual event at the #LosAngelesConventionCenter. To say we had a blast would be an understatement! From the colleges to the universities, the fraternities to the sororities, and the step show to the drum line, we had so much fun. One of my super nephews got 3 on the spot admission offers, making 10 total offers! My younger super nieces and nephews (grades 1st - 8th) had the chance to be exposed to HBCU culture, and they loved it! As for me, y’all already know I was in my element and enjoyed my day. Of course our day didn’t end there…after the Black College Expo, we hopped back on the Wanderlust Tour Bus and headed to @skyzone for some trampoline fun and pizza. by @campwanderlust

I’ve been teaching my kids one thing for years: SKILLS PAY BILLS. 💰
I didn’t want them growing up believing the only way to make money was trading hours for dollars.

So I’ve been teaching them how to trade crypto with real money, manage risk, learn from losses, and most importantly know WHEN TO QUIT.

Yesterday, my @onfivefanpage made $500 on a trade.

But let me be clear: trading isn’t easy money. He’s lost money too, especially when he didn’t know when to walk away. Now he’s learning discipline, risk management, and patience and that’s where the real growth happens.

He has a job interview Monday, and honestly? Part of me wants him to go.

But another part of me thinks: Why limit yourself to trading your time for money when you can learn skills that create opportunities from anywhere?

The world is changing FAST. AI is changing the job market. Technology is creating new ways to earn.

It’s time to learn something new.

My son is such an alpha boy, and I love that. He’s influenced by real men like @peezy__te men who lead by example, take care of their families, handle their responsibilities, protect themselves, and don’t tolerate disrespect.

To me, being gangsta isn’t about hurting each other. It’s about taking care of your kids, your family, your community, and yourself.

Most of the men my son looks up to are creatives who might look gangsta because it’s part of the culture, but they’re men of compassion, integrity, and discipline. They provide for the people they love, pour back into their communities, and stand on business when it matters.

I know deep down my son wishes he had a real father. I can’t fill that void, but I can make sure he’s surrounded by positive men and healthy examples. Instead of letting that pain consume him, he redirects it into his music. That’s why hobbies, skills, and purpose are so important for our kids. They give them somewhere healthy to put their emotions.

Is my son a crybaby or is he an empath?

I took him out to sell his album, and out of nowhere he started crying just from seeing a woman pushing a stroller with three kids by herself. He couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that there didn’t seem to be a father with them.

I’m a single mother, and my son never complains or asks for his dad because he knows the situation. But that moment reminded me that every child deserves a loving, present parent in their life.

I give my children 100% of me not 50%. That’s one of the reasons I choose to stay single. I don’t have time to pour into a relationship when my kids still need so much from me. I can’t force anyone to step up and play a role in my children’s lives, but I can make sure they never question whether their mother showed up.

Some of the strongest, most successful people came from single parent homes. That doesn’t mean fatherlessness is ideal it means resilience is real.

Is my son just emotional… or is this what empathy looks like? ❤️

I don’t know what’s going on in the world, but I have to prepare my @campwanderlust babies for whatever comes. It’s sad to say you can’t even play it safe anymore we have to stay alert, guard up.

We still need answers for the kid rolled up in the gym mat, the girl found in the freezer, and the kid found on Horn Island.

Wake up your good peoples. The r a c i s t & c o o n s flood my comments with negativity because they want to discourage these conversations, but I never gave too many fuccs about the h 8.

Never thought I’d experience something like this in 2026.

We were tired, just wanted to eat, I didn’t know getting food in a plastic container to eat inside a restaurant could end with the police being called.
