Four years ago today, we opened the doors to BONOBO for the very first time 🖤

These photos were taken the day I got the keys — before the lights, the sound, and the madness kicked in 🪩🥳
Since then, it’s been a wild ride. Highs, lows, lessons, and a lot of late finishes. If these walls could speak… 👀

We’re celebrating properly next month 🎉 Headliner locked 🔒 Stay tuned 👇 #4thbirthday🎂 @bonobobarcanteen taken in Bonobo Bar & Canteen by @camryalls

first year in business completed ✅🙏

A year ago today I took my first step into the wonders of running my own business 🫠 Tried to bring something unique to my home city and something I believed we needed to give us a wider spectrum in Chester’s underground music scene, promoting local talent, inclusivity and providing a regular influx of world renowned artists to Chester. With a solid team, blood, sweat and a few tears, I think we’ve achieved that.

But with so many other avenues to explore though, I look forward to what we have planned for Bonobo over the years ahead.

Just thought I’d take this opportunity though to thank everyone for such an unforgettable year. Thank you to everyone who came in these past 12 months even if just to wish me well, all our regular crowd propping up the bar each week you know who you are 👏, everyone who helped me when fitting out, all the fam for bollucking me/ keeping me on the straight and narrow 😅, all those businesses for welcoming us to the Chester bar scene @popcornbarchester @offthewallchester @craftandcompanychester @loveshackbar @reddoorchester @liquorandco to name a few, all the DJs for smashing it every week without fail, all the events companies we have worked with to provide chester with more and more experiences each week, @nghtwrk_ for the linkup support and finally my wonderful team of talented individuals who work tirelessly every day, putting up with me, picking me up when I’m down and maintaining such a high level all the time 🙌

Big love everyone. This place wouldn’t have been possible without all of your ongoing support 🫶
