🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

💗 The statistics are a reminder we cannot ignore.

According to the Canadian Cancer Society’s 2026 estimates:

* 🎗️ 32,400 women in Canada are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

* 🎗️ 5,400 women are expected to lose their lives to this disease.

* 🎗️ An average of 89 women every day will hear the words, “You have breast cancer.”

* 🎗️ Approximately 1 in 8 women in Canada will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

Breast cancer does not always cause pain or obvious warning signs. Never ignore a new breast change, lump, skin dimpling, nipple changes or unusual discharge. Know what is normal for your body, follow recommended screening guidelines, and speak to your healthcare professional about any concerns.

Early detection can save lives. Awareness can empower women. And timely medical care can make a difference.

At Cancer Warrior Canada Foundation, we stand with every fighter, survivor, and family affected by cancer. 💗

💗 MEN GET BREAST CANCER TOO

Breast Cancer Doesn’t Discriminate by Gender

Breast cancer is often thought of as a women’s disease—but men can develop breast cancer too. Although it is rare, early recognition can save lives.

🚨 Know the Warning Signs

Men should pay attention to:

A lump or thickening in the breast or underarm

Changes in breast size or shape

Nipple turning inward

Nipple discharge, especially bloody discharge

Changes to the skin, including dimpling, redness, scaling or irritation

Persistent pain or swelling around the breast or nipple

🔎 Know Your Body

Men have breast tissue, so don’t ignore an unusual change simply because you are male.

If you notice a new lump or other persistent change, speak with a healthcare professional promptly. A lump does not necessarily mean cancer, but it should be checked.

🎀 EARLY DETECTION MATTERS

There is no routine breast-cancer screening program for most men, so being aware of changes in your body is especially important.

Check. Speak up. Get checked.

FLEXING 40's 💪🔥

My life has been nothing less than a thriller movie with plenty of twists and turns. But I love it just as it is.
At 42, I am deeply grateful for my health—knowing this body took a whole lot of discipline and resilience.

Life is full of surprises. Some days I’m tired of them; other days I appreciate them. But through it all, my deep curiosity about life has remained, paired with a fierce belief that I was born to make it big.

Having faced cancer, I’ve realized that when your last day comes, all you really need is one thing: the impact you've created for your soul to rest in peace. I am actively in search of mine, and I know it's something big—still yet to be uncovered.

With a little curiosity, a little courage, and that unwavering belief, my life is full of rich experiences and so much to celebrate.

Curiosity, courage, and knowing I’m born to make it big—that is my mantra. Here's to chapter 42! 🎂✨

This September, we stand with every warrior facing leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other blood cancers and with the families and caregivers walking beside them. ❤️

Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, a story, and an extraordinary amount of courage.

At Cancer Warrior Canada Foundation, we believe awareness matters. Knowing the signs, listening to our bodies, seeking medical attention when something doesn't feel right, and supporting continued research can make a meaningful difference.
