If the skies this week have you thinking about what more you can do for the environment, shopping local is a great option. ❣️

meditating on cyanotype processes, light and dark, presence and void. 🌀

notes:
- slide 1: a portrait of me by @christinatanel, layered with other self portraits, in the foreground is a separate snake skin exposure.
- slide 2: toning cyanotypes tests from workshops with @sarahmiharacreagen
- slide 3: exposure on birch bark from my house.
- slide 4: playing with shape and snake skin.
- slide 5: exposure on mixed cotton fabric.
- slide 6: exposure of snake skin.

themes in my work as of late are going back to basics, while bringing in new knowledge and play.

Portrait Of A Flower, 2025.

Throwback to my second ever solo show last year, which I also received my first @ontarioartscouncil grant for (yay!!) 🎨🪷📸 (link in bio to view more)

I intended to share this much earlier but following the completion of this show, I faced various health issues and had to retreat. Lately I’ve been able to continue focusing on coming back to life both physically and spiritually. 🤗

Such a rewarding feeling to look back on my work to see how I’ve grown and how I keep moving forward through it all. Big thanks to @theshowgallery978 for your support and hosting my work!

See you at the next one? 😉

2025, that’s a wrap.

This year, I hit some fun and impactful career milestones. 📸 As of October, I’ve been a freelance photographer and multidisciplinary artist for 6 years.

So grateful to have added new and fun projects under my belt— including my solo show Portrait Of A Flower. For this project I received my first @ontarioartscouncil grant this. Thank you!

2026 is for dreaming, laughing and making more funky things.

Thanks for tagging along. taken in Toronto, Ontario by @candacecos
