POSTS STORIES REELS

Welcome—I'm Candace, a Chicago fine art wedding photographer.

I create timeless, true-to-color imagery for couples throughout Chicago and the Midwest. My work is rooted in a classic aesthetic with an editorial touch, thoughtfully documenting genuine moments, meaningful traditions, and the beautiful details that make every celebration unique.

Whether I'm photographing an intimate gathering or a thoughtfully planned wedding weekend, my goal is to create heirloom photographs that allow you to relive not only how your wedding looked, but how it felt.

Outside of weddings, you'll usually find me tending my garden, enjoying breakfast and coffee with my family, or curled up for a cozy movie night with pizza in hand. I believe there's beauty in the everyday, and that same perspective shapes the way I approach every celebration I have the privilege of documenting.

Thank you for being here. I'm so glad you found me. 🤍

Braeden & Brad in the heart of downtown Chicago 🤍🏙️

There’s something so special about getting to photograph people who are unapologetically themselves. These two are as genuine and down-to-earth as they come, and capturing their love in a way that feels true to who they are is exactly why I love what I do.

Feeling so grateful that I get to be a small part of their story and document these moments along the way. Braeden & Brad, what a blessing it is to have you as my clients! Here’s to the next chapter and celebrating you both all over again in 2027. 🥂✨ by @candacesimsphoto

Marissa & George ✨

There was something undeniably magical about this day at Onwentsia Club. Sunlight poured over their ceremony, the golf course views created the most breathtaking backdrop, and every moment felt beautifully unhurried.

As the evening began, the smooth sounds of a jazz trio set the tone for dinner—elegant, relaxed, and effortlessly romantic.

Then came golden hour, wrapping Marissa and George in the warmest light as they slipped away for portraits together. Quiet moments, genuine laughter, and a little bit of that newlywed glow. 🤍

A beautiful celebration for a beautiful couple—and a day we won’t soon forget. 🥂 by @candacesimsphoto

Katlyn + Vinnie 🤍✨

Some couples just feel like love. These two are the perfect mix of laid-back, effortlessly good-looking, and completely in love. They have this easy way about them, a love that feels genuine, and a beautiful way of following their hearts and doing things their way.

Their Lincoln Park Boardwalk engagement session felt just like them — relaxed, sweet, and full of the kind of love that makes you smile.

Next stop: saying “I do” at Maxwells Trading next month, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate these two. 🥂🤍 by @candacesimsphoto

Candlelight, exceptional wine, and a dance floor that never quit. 🕯️✨

An unforgettable night celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs.! JM + W officially tied the knot surrounded by the warm, urban romance of Chicago Winery. From the glowing, candlelit room to the glasses raised high and the tunes that kept everyone moving all night long, it was absolute magic.

Cheers to JM + W and they’re beautiful happily ever after! 🥂🍇
