- wearing my natural hair is an act of worship, a thank you to the God who creates carefully and beautifully without mistake, an opportunity for stewardship
- my hair is done
- my hair has range
- my hair looks fine
- my hair looks more than fine
- even if my hair doesn’t look fine, who die? The world will continue to spin and everything will be okay
- this is London and it’s 2026, people see more mind-boggling things than Afro hair
- I can see why my hair would inspire awe, it is awesome
- it is normal for people to be curious and intrigued by things they don’t see often
- before Afro hair can be seen as normal to others, it has to be normal to me
- there’s no short cut to being comfortable with my hair in its natural state. The more I see it, the more I will like it

- my hair suits me because it is mine
- I do not need to add or subtract from my naturally occurring baseline to be complete. I am enough, and my embellishments are beautifying extras, not fundamental essentials

- I can do whatever styles I want. They don’t have to be long or thick to be nice.
- my perception of what looks nice may be a bit warped because I don’t see enough variety. I will bring the variety so that someone else can see their version of nice reflected in me.
- beauty standards will expand and catch up to me. Or not. But I will not wait for permission by @candacethebarber

I love all of my facials, but this one was special! Really beautiful to host @versarxhie and his aunty, karaoke and all.

It always touches my heart to offer luxury services for Black folks, because the reality is that for many of us, it isn’t affordable, and yet the loads we carry mean we would benefit from time to care for ourselves and take an hour of respite and receiving nurture.
