It’s day 3, I think 🤔 of a heat wave here. 5 days left of 40+! Most things are coping okay, we’re up before the sun every day watering and checking everything. I’m not sure how things will be looking by the weekend but so far we’re hanging in there 🤞🏼 Stay safe everyone. by @candaneacres

Last month the most amazing woman in the world left this earth. Of course it is the natural order that your grandparents will get old and eventually pass away, and certainly more tragic events take place all the time. But, this has been so hard. A wise woman said to me, it’s still the closing of a chapter and there is still so much sadness in that. She was the most wonderful person. Beautiful inside and out (just look at her, a total beauty queen!). She was the glue. She was the good in everything. Days feel noticeably emptier without her here. I knew I would miss her, I just couldn’t have anticipated how much. All my gardening friends I have made on here, I hope you might plant a flower for her, any flower. She loved them. I hope when it blooms you might think of her for a moment, and think of the wonderful women in your own life. She’s the reason I started growing flowers in the first place and for a moment I thought I might give up now that she is not here to share them with. She would have hated for me to give up, she was absolutely a fighter - to keep going is to honour her legacy. So onwards we go, with my Nan in my heart forever 🕊️ by @candaneacres
