Most importantly, I’ve learned that none of this works when I try to build it on my own. God has always been the foundation, even in the moments when I couldn’t see what He was doing.

Year 4 isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about putting myself out there more, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, asking for help when I need it, and simply... keep going.

Things they don’t tell you about newborn photography...

• Every session runs on baby’s time—not the clock.
• A “2-hour session” can quickly become much longer with feedings, soothing, and cuddle breaks.
• For in-home sessions, my entire setup has to be loaded, transported, assembled, packed back up, and unloaded again.
• It’s physically demanding, but moments like these make every bit of it worthwhile.

Being trusted to capture someone’s newest little love is a responsibility I’ll never take for granted. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. 🤍
