POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Through every season and new chapter I find my resilience comes through being grateful, not only for the lessons because when I look for the good that's what I find but in knowing that the sun will rise again, just like I always have. Today, in sharing time with my friend and assistant Gracie I was more clear on my direction & purpose than ever. Happy National Woman's Day.

This little girl is one I now hold in the palm of my hand. I went back for her and found her right where I had left her so that she could stay safe and wouldn't have to endure the pain that her tender little heart couldn't bear.

The fractures that often happen to us as children are designed to keep us alive when there is no safety and protector parts step in and build a castle wall around our most vulnerable places. This often leads to wearing masks, people pleasing, and being unable to find joy even as a child.

When I was in kindergarten, my report card read a 1 out of 5 under "child's view of self" because I was looking through the lens of the authority around me.

To be labeled as a "mistake" & "an accident" is not something I could ever imagine saying to anyone, let alone fathom those were the words spoken over me from unconscious caregivers.

I have forgiven the actions long ago and have so much empathy and compassion for those walking through life blindly that they can not see the harm they are causing.

Choosing to love is choosing to see another as a part of yourself, without hatred, without condemnation or blame, I feel so liberated seeing with these eyes.

Today, I get to choose caring for this little girl who still lives inside of me, and I will always keep her safe. I will always love you, little Candi. 🍬

Edit: I realized after I posted this, that she's wearing overalls with hearts, flowers and stars...all the things that her future holds. 💖 🌸⭐️

I used to say that I could remember very little about my childhood but as I get older and learn to slow down the memories are returning.

Sometimes I get flashes of running through the forest and very distinct memories will come back to me, as if I'm seeing through the eyes of that little girl.

I remember being so interested in the flowers and the trees and the smells and the sounds.

I grew up on Camano Island in Washington and our backyard backed up to what I thought was an huge forest, but it turns out it was just a dense tree grove in between us and a development called Lost Lake.

This tree grove was the place I could be anything I wanted to be. My sister's and I would use ferns for brooms and bedding while making our homes in the woods next to each other. We would bring supplies like tea sets from inside the house and I always had my baby doll.

One thing that I always remember is I would be the last to finish because I had to make sure it was in order and clean. I always had to get the foundation right first and make sure it was safe.

Some things never change. That trait is something I have been doing my whole life. Going first and trying to clear the path for others so that they can be safe. Only now I don't do it to save them, only to show them the way I went.

The last photo is the plant I saw that I knew would show me a whole new perspective if I just zoomed in.

An adventure to fill our water bottles and refresh our souls at 6500ft. This is a lookout right near Gumboot trailhead near Mt. Shasta.

There were no other people around for miles and it was so dense and quiet. It felt like being held. There is nothing to think about out here but it's a place to just be present. I brought my daughter here just as a friend had once shown me because that kind of quiet leaves an impact.

I was giddy like a schoolgirl being up there because I have lived the life of searching and chasing endlessly only to return to the understanding that there is nothing missing.

Returning home to within is like finding a buried treasure that cannot be measured by our materialistic or monetary standards, it isn't the kind that is for sale. by @candiceeberle

When I look back over motherhood I see how my children were teaching me to be present. It often isn't until we look back that we see the things they were asking of us was our time, just to be with them.

Whether they were asking us to watch a show or take their photo, they were giving us an opportunity to make a memory with them to solidify our connection in time.

It is often not the thing we would choose to do, but that is why it shows them how much they mean to us.

Growing up we did things the adults wanted to do and we were along for the ride, often just because there was nowhere they could send us...but that was the 70's.

I know parenting has come a long way and the pendulum swung wildly in the other direction trying to compensate for what we didn't get as children but eventually, it settles somewhere back towards balance, where we learn to honor our boundaries and our needs in order to be healthy and balanced leaders and also to show our children how valuable they by spending time with them doing the things that they like to do as well as sharing with them who we are so that they can become who they are meant to, not who we want them to be.

This song reminds me of all my babies that have grown up and the ones that are still here at home with me.

Grace you are radiant, thoughtful, and determined. You have taught me so much ane helped me grow in more ways than I can count. I'm so glad you are my daughter, thank you for taking time to build our connection. by @candiceeberle

For years now I have walked miles every day, it was a lifesaver during those first years after my divorce. I started walking with my neighbor that had lost her husband and for that first year it is what we both needed. I have done more walking, hiking, and outdoor activities more in the past 6 years than I did during my whole 20 year marriage.

I used to be a person that lived with so much speed in everything I did that my life looked like I was really living it to the fullest, but I was running and never slowing down, until I hit a system collapse.

When I started going through my internal healing I was still running 100 miles an hour and using coffee as a my energy source and the highs of dopamine chasing and crashing out when it waned.

This year my nervous was asking to slow down and sync up with my heart.
So I cut coffee and all caffeine and have just been letting my life be slow. I'm not in hurry for anything right now. When I feel that old angst try to creep in I intentionally slow myself down. Nervous system retraining takes time and discipline.

I'm documenting my process because historically I've had to live out whatever I teach or share.

Sometimes it's weird to feel this kind of peace. It's a quiet then I've really never known. It sort of feels like unplugging the refrigerator that's been running for years, and you're trying to figure out where the noise went, or what's missing. It's different than feeling contentment or bliss. It feels like...nothingness.

I don't listen to country much anymore but I probably did my stints with all the different genres growing up (minus metal, I just couldn't do it although I shared a room with my sister and thought Metallica was pronounced Metaleeka, total valley girl) along with the different friend groups that I tried out.

I was really a super shy girl, perhaps I was even terrified on the inside of being rejected but on the outside masked like a superhero. It was my way to be able to be around people, I was better at people pleasing and giving away my energy to try to save everybody else while inside I had no idea that I was drowning. It wasn't until I was in the quiet moments alone that I would think I don't think anyone really knows me, which led me to always asking, who am I?

When I was younger I never wanted to be alone but yet, I never really felt like I was truly with anyone. I now realize set the company that I kept really didn't want know the real deep me. They we're happiest with the compliant, kind, generous and funny me that was the best cheerleader, ever waiting for the day it would be my turn. I didn't see myself as a victim I just don't think I was ever truly inside myself, I was always looking at myself from the outside.

About 9 years ago I met someone that mirrored me and from that moment I never wanted to be anyone else again. It isn't the moment I stopped chasing but It's the moment that got my attention and thus began my great undoing.

To be continued.

I think I chose to buy my business because I loved the idea of Simple Living but boy has that taken me a lifetime of working at because almost nothing about my existence has been simple. Even saying I'm working at it is working, it's more like becoming aware.

I get music suggestions based on what in the photos for my posts based on what my algo knows I like but I mull absolutely everything over.

I loved the lyrics and easy rhythm of this song and the simplicity of the message, especially since there is someone specific I'm thinking about that they perfectly fit, but then again they fit us all so it fit. My conundrum of weather to choose a song and lyrics I like with its origin in an idealogy that no longer fits my lived experience. Leaving a religion that I once so heavily relied on to save me from my decisions and the narrative that was given to me that I was shameful and broken and that I needed to savior they subsequently sold me.
When I started writing my book and hit that midlife absolute crash no amount of bypassing worked and thankfully religion had already unraveled for me, so there I was left to my own lifes mess I had made to face the music. So that's what I did...and I didn't get up off that proverbial floor for almost 2 years.

I had to face the parts of my divorce I hadn't owned, the parts of my life my genetic wiring was running the show and causing self sabotage pushing away the very things I had always wanted but didn't have the capacity to sustain when they looked like they might be showing up and choosing partners that were mirroring my own emotional unavailability.
It wasn't until last year that I realized I didn't know I had poor boundaries with the relationships closest to me and I also had to learn how better to read other peoples which started from being born with genetic wiring.
When you learn you are neurodivergent by deep diving into your daughters struggles and then matching your own raw genome to clinical data it changed everything for me. I'm not the same person I was 3 years ago, 2 years ago or even 2 weeks ago. Our indentity is electrical, boundaries are the key.
