✨ Meet Samantha Cipriani, co-founder of Nightshift Wax Co. in St. Petersburg, Florida Nightshift Wax Co. is a woman-owned, queer-operated brand that lives in the beautiful space between playful and refined. Co-run by Samantha, her partner, and a tight-knit team of four, they create luxury soy candles and perfume oils designed to transport you to a specific memory or landscape. With a clean, minimal aesthetic, bold pops of color, and packaging treated like poetry, Nightshift is all about selling a feeling, a destination, and a moment in time. “Nightshift has always been about finding the scent that didn’t exist yet and making it exist.” What started in 2015 while Samantha was bartending and deeply immersed in wine sommelier studies has grown into a thriving brand. Obsessed with the connection between scent and memory, she decided to create her own. She blended six initial scents inspired by past road trips, hand-designed the labels, and gifted them to friends. The immediate, enthusiastic response sparked a business. What began as a solo, scrappy hustle in her home grew rapidly. In 2020, sales multiplied by five overnight, pushing Samantha to scale—moving into a 2,000-square-foot warehouse and hiring her first team members. Through years of massive growth, opening a storefront, and showing incredible resilience after losing their space to Hurricane Helene, Nightshift has kept evolving. Today, they even run a successful private label division, translating brand visions into custom scents for boutique hotels, cruise lines, and Fortune 500 companies. Favorite CandleScience supplies?
