We like to tame our vines …. but let the rest of the vineyard be quite wild. It’s not laziness - it’s all done with purpose.

Cover crops and flowers entice in biodiversity but they also keep much needed moisture in the ground in these extreme, dry times. Competition between the vines encourages them to drive their roots deeper into our beautiful chalk slopes in search of water.

Regenerative farming is all about working with nature. Encouraging nature to do what it does best. We believe this helps our vines work harder, be more resilient, creating more interesting grapes and wine.

We offer bespoke vineyard tours. Book your visit and see and taste for yourself.

Over the last few weeks we have raised our wires, stripped back the lower leaves to help air flow and photosynthesis and now we wait and watch the berries grow, change colour and soften. It’s a beautiful time of year.

Earlier this month we invited a wonderful group of people who work at the front line of bringing Candover Brook to our customers. The brilliant gang of sommeliers and restaurant staff who deliver our wine to the table. We wanted to bring alive our vineyard, our culture and our wine in their minds so they can spread the word. A brilliant day of fun, learning and little bit of competition. Thank you all for coming down to visit us.

Fantastic week of blessed weather and wine @candoverbrook. Big thank you to Sam and Candoverbrook Wine 🥰Fabulous. ❤️ we even had a visit from a vine trimming tracktor!

And just like that English Wine Week is over and so is the heatwave. Huge thanks to our small team at Candover Brook who poured hundreds of glasses of our delicious English sparkling and told our story to so many people this week despite the searing temperatures. We had an amazing week in and out of the vineyard with friends at @winchestercollege @barnsgroveclubhouse @chainegb @candovervalleystore @cavistewine @kyotokitchen @summerdownuk @southeastmotorslandrover @the_candover to name just a few. We love connection and we certainly made so many new wonderful connections this week. Next week we are off to @groundswell_agriculture to share our wine and our story up in Hertfordshire. A summer birthday party at Candover Brook Vineyard, set among the vines in the heart of Hampshire.

Guests were welcomed at the Hampshire vineyard with seasonal canapés, paired with @candoverbrook English sparkling wine to begin the celebration.
