POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The Candy Whips are looking for a new bass player and guitarist. After three years of excellence, Mel and Greg have decided to pursue their shared dream of moving to Guyana and coaching little league at the reformed Jonestown. We thank them for their service. That leaves us with two big holes to fill. Are you the next Candy Whip? Do you know someone who would be a good fit? DM for details.

I know it’s a long shot but if anyone plays fretless bass, that would be extra cool. by @candy.whips

SATURDAY FEB 28th @ THEE STORK CLUB!!:

The Candy Whips (Oakland)
@candy.whips
Fans of retro 70s-80s synth pop sounds by the likes of Devo, The Human League, and Gary Numan are going to love this. Wendy Stonehenge—better known as lead singer and songwriter for SF band Glitter Wizard—has returned with Artificial Melodies, the second full-length from his band Candy Whips.

Mirthquake! (LA)
@mirthquake_music
Mirthquake! is a two man operation. From the valley to the city, these two have been in the lab making monsters for years. recklessly collaging ideas in hopes of creating something that can stand on its own. Using a planet of tools in attempt to widen the birth. Prickly surf guitars, slanted synthscapes, bombastic and often violent drums.

Sutros (SF)
@sutros_sf
Sutros is an off quilter punk band from SF. We draw inspirations from an handful of different wells like noise/drone, free jazz, rock’n’roll, and pop. It’s a distinctly eclectic makeup of weirdness and groove.

$12/$15 | 8pm | 21+ | #storkshows 𓅡
