A little weekend getaway to Greenville with two of my favorites. 🤎🐾

Marty, Sunshine and I spent the weekend wandering downtown, walking along the river, eating and drinking our way through Greenville, popping into little shops and just enjoying being together.

And of course, Sunshine thought the entire weekend was planned just for her. She explored every sidewalk, made new friends and happily discovered just how dog friendly Greenville is. 🐾

There’s something about getting away for a few days with no real agenda. Just walking, exploring, finding a good patio, ordering another drink and soaking up time together.

One of those simple weekends I know I’ll want to remember.

Happy birthday to my favorite person. ❤️

Another year of doing life with you, and I’m still so grateful that I get to call you mine. You make me laugh, you keep me grounded, you love me exactly as I am, and you somehow make even the ordinary days feel like the good stuff.

I love the life we’ve built together. The adventures, the music, the date nights, the walks with Sunshine, the laughter, and all the little moments in between that end up meaning the most.

There’s no one I’d rather travel through this life with. I hope this next year brings you so much of what you give to everyone around you. Love, joy, laughter, and plenty of great songs.

France, part one 🇫🇷✨

Still pinching myself that I got to call this work.

My first buying trip to the South of France with @debbiemathewshome was everything I imagined and so much more. Beautiful old streets, incredible architecture, long dinners, a little rosé, and of course, antiques everywhere.

There was something so special about experiencing these places while also knowing we were there with a purpose. Searching for beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces to bring back to Nashville. Every day held something different, and around every corner was another reminder of why I love old things, beautiful spaces, and the stories they carry.

Such a special beginning to a trip I know I’ll never forget. 🇫🇷🤍

There is something about Shelby Park’s Superbloom that feels like pure magic. Every year, it arrives right around my birthday, which makes it feel like nature’s own little birthday gift to me.

Standing in a field surrounded by thousands of yellow wildflowers, with Sunshine and Marty beside me, is about as perfect as a birthday weekend can get. There is nowhere else I’d rather be.

And then there’s the reality of trying to get a Golden Retriever to actually pose amongst the wildflowers. 😂 Sunshine had her own ideas about where to stand, where to look, and what was far more interesting than the camera. Getting “the shot” may have been half the adventure, but honestly, that just made it even better.

Nature has a way of quieting all the noise. It grounds me, brings me back to myself, and reminds me how much beauty is right in front of us when we slow down long enough to notice it. The Superbloom is breathtaking in photographs, but being in the middle of it is an entirely different experience. There is truly nothing like it.

Our local parks and our national parks are treasures. Please visit them, love them, support them, and advocate for their protection. These wild, beautiful spaces matter more than we sometimes realize.

Four birthdays, one very special dinner. 🤍

All four of us have birthdays in August and September, so we got to celebrate together, which made the night even sweeter.

Thank you to my mom for treating us to such an amazing birthday dinner, and to @motonashville for making the evening feel so special.

But more than anything, I’m just grateful for these girls. I love my nieces more than words could ever express. Watching them grow into the incredible women they are, sharing life with them, laughing together, celebrating together…these are the moments I treasure most.

I’m heartbroken over the loss of Dolly Parton.

She was so much more than an icon. She was a woman who showed us that strength and softness could exist together. That you could be unapologetically feminine, wildly successful, speak your mind, stand beside people who felt marginalized or unseen, and still lead with kindness.

Dolly never forgot where she came from. She took the life she built and used it to give back, especially to the children and families of East Tennessee. Through her Imagination Library, she put books into the hands of millions of children and gave them something even bigger: the chance to dream beyond the circumstances they were born into.

She made people feel accepted. She stood for love over judgment. She used her voice for people who didn’t always have one, and she showed generations of women that we never have to make ourselves smaller to be taken seriously.

As a Tennessean, this loss feels especially personal. Dolly was part of the heart of this state, but what she gave to the world reached so far beyond Tennessee.

What a beautiful legacy to leave behind: music that will live forever, children who learned to love reading because of her, communities made stronger because she cared, and countless people who felt a little more accepted because Dolly Parton was in this world.

The world feels a little less bright without her in it.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the generosity, and most of all, for showing us what it looks like to use a remarkable life to make life better for others. ❤️ by @candyjdodson

Date night at Alla Vita 🤍🌿

One of my favorite things about trying a new restaurant is taking in the design, and Alla Vita did not disappoint. The space is filled with biophilic design elements—lush greenery everywhere, natural textures, warm lighting, and an atmosphere that feels both dramatic and inviting.

And then there’s the ceiling! These beautiful layers of flowing white fabric immediately caught my eye. We were told they’re meant to resemble lasagna noodles—such a clever nod to the Italian menu. 🍝

Good food, a bottle of wine, great company, and plenty of design inspiration. My kind of date night. ❤️

Happy 31st birthday to my sweet niece, Ashton! 🤍

I’m so proud of the woman you are and the beautiful life you’ve created. Watching you become a wife and now a mama to four precious babies has been such a gift. You love your family so deeply, and I know your mom and dad are looking down with so much joy and pride at the incredible woman and mother you’ve become.

You will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I hope you know how very loved you are. Here’s to 31 and all the beautiful things this next year has in store for you.

⚡️ Mischief managed… and Sunshine definitely stole the show. 🐾✨

We had the best time at Baxter Bailey & Company’s Harry Pawter event! From boarding the Dogwarts Express to being sorted into Gryffindog (which feels absolutely perfect for Sunshine ❤️💛), every detail was so thoughtfully done.

The treats were completely over the top, the photo ops were adorable, and watching all the pups dressed up and having so much fun made my heart so happy. Sunshine soaked up every minute of it and left with a very full belly and an even fuller heart.

This weekend at @willhoge Ramble had me smiling the whole time.

Back in my 20s and 30s, my friends and I would go see Will play every chance we got. It didn’t matter where he was playing in Nashville. If Will Hoge was on the bill, we were there. Those nights were some of the best, and his music became the soundtrack to so many great memories.

The thing is, Will isn’t just someone I listened to back then. He’s still putting out incredible music, still touring, still packing out venues, and still one of the most authentic artists around. That’s rare.

Will Hoge’s Ramble was such a great reminder of why I’ve been a fan for all these years. A full day of incredible music capped off by one of Nashville’s finest. It reminded me that some artists don’t just stand the test of time—they keep creating, keep evolving, and keep giving us reasons to show up.

Such a fun afternoon watching the World Cup with family! We were missing a lot of our crew, but we still had the best time together.

Half of us were cheering for Spain and the other half for Argentina, so there was plenty of friendly competition in the room. It was such a great World Cup and an exciting final!

My heart is so full after celebrating Ashton and sweet baby Milo. 💙
What a sweet evening celebrating this precious little boy with some of the people I love most. There was so much laughter, so much love, and so much excitement for everything that’s to come.
I know Jennifer is watching over Ashton and baby Milo every step of the way, and I can only imagine how proud she would be. Her love is still woven into every gathering, every celebration, and every new beginning.
