"Molotov" and "Natura morta/Variazione sul tema" by Yasmine Elgamal

Most of the scenes that appear in Yasmine Elgamal’s paintings take place in her home or in spaces she has inhabited. The walls, the vases, the flowers—everything depicted originates from her own life. Often, she poses for herself in front of a window she has gazed at all day, or a door she has found poetic, holding a vase, a flower, a swallowed rage, or a whisper of serenity. Inspiration emerges in this way from any light, any corner, any person she knows.

For her, painting is a deeply personal matter, where she strives to remain genuine both in the choice of subjects and in the underlying concept. Sometimes working from life, sometimes from photographic references she creates herself, she approaches her paintings primarily through direct painting (alla prima), using a limited palette of six colors.

"Prelude", Metal tools and objects" and "Background story" by Mafalda Figueiredo.

Mafalda Figueiredo approaches painting as a space to project and observe her shifting identity. Through theatrical compositions inspired by performance, dance, and music, she stages symbolic acts and characters that inhabit a threshold between discomfort and acceptance—where transformation takes place.

Drawing from dreams and memories, she brings together personal references into settings where past and present coexist, allowing her to observe them from a distance. The figures in her paintings personify emotions that are both deeply personal and universal, raising questions around gender, femininity, and fears shaped by generational and lived trauma.

"Flowers staining my days", "Dark night" and "Amnesiac" by Marco Casalvieri,

Marco Casalvieri explores the emotional depth of the human experience through portraiture and the human figure. His work fosters a dialogue—an unspoken exchange between viewer and subject—where color and value become the language of expression. He seeks to create paintings that resonate personally, evoking emotions that remind us of our shared humanity and offering moments of connection in an often-isolating world.

"Flowers staining my days", oil on canvas., 100x70cm _1200 Euros
"Dark night", oil on canvas., 70x70cm _1800 Euros
"Amnesiac", oil on canvas., 90x90cm _1500 Euros

Beauty serves as an invitation to look closer in Casalvieri’s practice. While aesthetic appeal draws the eye, his work reveals deeper layers of meaning, touching on themes of solitude, loss, and grief. Grounded in realism, his paintings offer structured yet intimate spaces where vulnerability is welcomed, and the complexities of human emotion unfold.

"Mood","Shelter", and "Blur" by Axel Schindler.

Axel Schindler (*1991) studied Graphic Design & Visual Media at the Graphische in Vienna, completing his diploma in 2013. Working across painting, illustration, and street art, his practice combines figurative imagery with abstract elements. Through vivid colors and strong contrasts, Schindler creates dynamic compositions in which figures and their environments interact in moments of visual tension. His work often draws on fleeting impressions from everyday life, translating personal observations into expressive scenes that balance intimacy and movement. By capturing fragile and transient moments, Schindler invites viewers to reflect on the subtle emotional atmospheres embedded in ordinary situations.

"Tropic Of (Nowhere)" and "PMD" by Seppe De Meyere.

The work of Seppe De Meyere characterizes itself substantially through replication and light. Provoked by atmospheres of unease, gloom and stasis, his paintings constitute a slow digestion of the human form over time, often placed in ambiguous spaces. Analogue and digital processes are combined and influence the images until faltering visual echoes emerge; generating a feeling of a strange familiarity. Together with a sense of intimacy and a slight unsettling notion his paintings culminate in a recognizable, yet esoteric reality.

"Mob" & "The old driving centre" by Alex Wilby

Alex Wilby is a UK-based painter and illustrator whose work invites the viewer to take an active role in interpretation. His images often avoid immediate clarity, encouraging connections to form gradually. Through abstract shape and moments of realism, he creates compositions that feel both familiar and slightly out of reach, prompting viewers to question, piece things together, and complete the narrative for themselves.

"Seeing someone with their parents is a tangible reminder that we're all composites," and "History changing in her hands" by Jared Cooper Cobain’

Jared Cooper Cobain’s work explores the layered, shifting nature of memory through oil paint. Each painting develops slowly through interacting layers of transparency and opacity, creating visual depth and temporal complexity. This process mirrors how memories accumulate, overlap, and distort over time, a painterly archaeology in which earlier marks remain partially visible, shaping the present surface.

He understands these works as visual collages of remembering. Fragments emerge, dissolve, and reconfigure, reflecting how personal and collective memories intertwine and continually rewrite themselves. Through layering, scraping, and reworking, his focus lies less in preserving a fixed image than in capturing the act of remembering itself: mutable, partial, and alive.

Seeing someone with their parents is a tangible reminder that we're all composites, oil on canvas, 160x150cm., 2026.
History changing in her hands, oil on canvas, 120 x 90 cm., 2023.

Fever Dream Part 3, 2 & 1 by Margo Wallace.

Margo Wallace’s work is an attempt to articulate where perception and memory intersect, using transparency and replication to explore this concept. Her drawings evoke a sense of calm while simultaneously introducing a subtle unease, as they are not exactly what they seem at first glance. She creates moments of unexpected tension within the composition that only emerge as the viewer spends more time engaging closely with the altered subject matter.

"Zwei Gesichter" and "Stützen" by Pixxie.

Pixxie (Sarah von Funck) works with painting as a way of approaching the body through fragmentation, treating it more as an emotional state than as an object to be read. Her practice focuses on partial forms that suggest states of tension, support, and instability.

In her work, the body emerges through processes of weight and relation rather than as a fixed entity. Fragments lean, hold, or resist, creating a subtle interplay between vulnerability and control.

Working with classical painting techniques, she explores how these can be used to articulate contemporary emotional and physical conditions. Her images remain deliberately reduced, allowing space for ambiguity and projection.
