A Tribute to Healing, Hope, and the Power of Paws 🐾

Today marks two months since the devastating floods in Kerrville that forever changed this resilient community.

In those first tender days, therapy dog teams from across Texas came together to offer something no words could: presence, comfort, and unconditional love. With gentle paws and wagging tails, Canines For Christ Teams and their dedicated handlers brought peace to first responders, lifted the spirits of volunteers, soothed grieving families at funerals, offered joy to hospital staff, and brought smiles to children returning to school.

As the Texas Hill Country continues to heal, we pause to give glory to God, the source of all peace, and honor the beautiful hearts of every dog and handler who served (and continue to serve) with compassion.

Psalm 34:18; The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Teams traveled from as far as Dallas, Fredericksburg, Pleasanton and San Antonio to pay respects and offer comfort to the family and friends of this beloved Zunker Family: Reece (36yrs old), Paula Joe (35yrs old, Lyle (7yrs old) and Holland (3yrs old) who tragically lost their lives in the Hunt/Kerrville floods.

We are blessed to serve this grieving community.
Loving God. Loving Dogs. Loving Others.

Teams Henry 🐾 & Neva, Lucy🐾 & Terri and Dougal 🐾 & Debbie attended a funeral in Kerrville over the weekend. God directed our pups with love and comfort to the children and adults who were hurting the most. Both the father and husband thanked them for being there.

❤It's moments and conversations like this that make traveling from Georgetown and San Antonio so meaningful for our handlers.❤

Happy Mother's Day from C4C! We❤️You! 🐶 by @canines4christ

We were able to volunteer this morning at our home church, Idlewild Baptist Church here in Florida! We met many potential future Junior Handlers!! It was so much fun to share the ministry with our church family.

Today was a good day to visit a new place. Loved this small sweet nursing home that felt like someone’s house. Gave and got lots of love. #caninesforchrist #christiandog #godisgood #blessings #carolinadogsofinstagram #carolinadogsrule by @canines4christ
