POSTS STORIES REELS

We have passed the 12 week mark!

No real changes to report, those little hind leg twitches are still happening and I still have sooo much hope.

She’s no stranger to her wheels anymore! We even ventured out for our first little walk. And by walk I mean halfway down the block and back before she was tuckered out. Taking things by her pace, little by little, literally step by step. Lol

Still waiting to see if these new antibiotics are helping with the most stubborn UTI and we’re still navigating life of incontinence and a raw tail BUT there are so many positives to hang onto.

I’ll keep up with her physio, keep those little legs moving and do everything I can to help her along even if it means sharing my toothbrush 😜.

She is the best lil princess and I’m so grateful for her willingness to take on literally whatever.

A few stills from a weekend I wish I could bottle up and relive🤓

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, and especially to @decoy.kev and @bray.n.dogs of @concise.k9 for coming out and sharing your knowledge and passion with us (even tho the wind almost took ya). So grateful for the opportunity to learn from you both, and already looking forward to having you back! 😍🔥

Thank you @decoy.kev and @stavelyk9 for working my boy !!

More vids to come, I have sooo much to go through 🤭 Thank you @toomanydogsandatrainer for the first couple of photos and to those who helped record and capturing these memories.

Amongst the chaos that has been my life lately, I built this!!

I’m not one to brag much or take a compliment easily, but THIS?! I’m effing proud of myself. I’ve built a thing or two over the years, but I think this one takes the cake.

A dog training/bite table!!

The only pieces of wood I didn’t cut myself were the plywood tabletop and the two side panels. The curved edges and everything else in between? I did that!

Might have went a little wild with the screws, but hey, she’s sturdy. 😜

Still need to seal it and pretty her up a little, but first, we’re gonna put her to work this weekend!!

Non-dog people: “What do you mean you’re doing a dog seminar this weekend?!”

Me: This fuels my soul. My brain needs the break, my heart needs the dogs (and friends), and it doesn’t involve wearing a mask or anything on my face, soooo I’m in the clear!! 💃🏼

Ain’t nothin’ gonna break Pen’s stride, that’s for damn sure!!

For the first time since becoming paralyzed, Pennifer was feeling herself and confident enough in her wheels to play with her favouritest toy, her Jolly Egg. 💛

Something so simple, yet SO freaking monumental!!! I wish I could bottle up the feeling I had watching this.. pure effing joy and a whole lotta relief.

Thank you @walkinpets for allowing furbies like Pennifer get some independence back.

Too cute not to share and save on my feed 🥹

Pennifer probably, “Ma, I still smart!!” as she continues to prove she’s only getting cuter, barking on command and backing up in her wheels!

Also another attempt at some zoom zooms with her big bro who also is only getting more handsome and dapper by the hour. 😭

Every day things feel a little more like the ol’ days. More silliness and more moments like these I’ll never take for granted.

These two are pure joy and I’m so damn lucky to call them mine. 🖤🩷

EIGHT heckin’ weeks post op !! 🩷

Turns out there’s no magical “normal” waiting for us at the 8 week mark like I had in my mind in the beginning. Soo we carry on !!

And turns out when you stop waiting for normal there’s a whole lotta good shit happening in front of you.

We’re having fun continuing to unlock new commands, shaping new behaviours and slowly building her endurance. No surprise but she is absolutely crushing her set of wheels 🥹

Still no sensation in her hind end and we’re still battling a UTI despite trying new and stronger meds, so a urine culture is up next.
BUT!! On a super promising note I am noticing a little more tone/resistance in her hind legs when doing stretches. AND! I’ve caught glimpses of those hind legs STRETCHING. BOTH OF THEM!! She doesn’t seem to have a clue she’s doing it, but holy shit is it exciting to see.

I’m incredibly grateful for today and this life I get to live with my furbies!!

Pen got brave and went wheeling off on her own to sniff, I started playing around with B.

I asked B for a middle and here comes Pennifer, flying over and pushed B out of middle 😂👏

Pen probs : “I KNOW THIS ONE. Gimme those snacks.”

Looks like I missed National Black Dog Day yesterday, although I don’t really need a designated day to gush about this guy, I’ll do it anyway 🥹

I am so hella grateful for him. The sweetest, handsomest, most fun boy. 🖤

Regina and surrounding dog peeps !

We’ve got TWO working spots that just opened up!! 👀🔥

We’re super stoked to have Kevin Davies and Braylyn Cole, Concise K9 coming to Regina to share their knowledge with us!

If you’ve been curious about bitework or want to explore a new way to build engagement, confidence, communication and control with your dog — this is your sign to come play!

And you absolutely don’t need a dog to work to get something out of the weekend. Auditing is how I started! Come nerd out about dogs with us, ask questions and soak it all in. Bitework is just one piece of the puzzle — there’s so much cool stuff happening around it. 🧠🐕🔥

I’m also selfishly trying to recruit bitework friends. Come playyyy! 👻

🗓️ October 24 & 25, 2026
🐕 Working: $425
👀 Audit: $200

Keeping up with the updates — today marks 7 weeks post-op!

I am sooo tickled to see my lil workaholic princess back in the training garage. My backyard terrain is quite the obstacle course for her, but that food motivation is keeping those wheels moving forward. Short and sweet wheelie sessions for now as she fatigues pretty quickly.

I’ve got most things figured out, but the leaking bowels feel consuming. We’re getting closer to her having a little more freedom, and I’m not quite sure how I’ll manage the leakiness once she’s on the move. Diapers aren’t much of an option yet with her ongoing UTIs and irritated skin. Just one more thing we’ll figure out as we go.

She is still so effing perfect. My obsession only grows stronger each day 🤭🩷 We got this. Whatever it takes, I’m here for it.

Free shaping the muzzie in our fancy heel position.

We’ve been plucking away at this for a couple weeks but this was the first time taking it outside! Helped him through the first rep, then the boy knew the drill.

Helping as much as needed, but as little as possible 💛
