Before May is over... this was my traditional Wegman's Ultimate Chocolate Cake for Mother's Day. Three years ago it got smaller, two years ago it was more expensive, last year it was even more expensive, and this year I could tell they used cheaper cocoa and it seemed a tad bit smaller. It's $13! I keep saying I am going to start having Baz make my cakes for birthdays and Mother's Days and I think it's time that should happen. Again I had him get cheap flowers to offset the cost of the cake. *swipe* He also gave me this beautiful collectors edition of my favorite novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. It has Harper Lee's signature embossed on the cover and stenciled edges. 💟💟💟 by @canniffshewants2

I survived another year around the sun! 🎉🎉🎉 #BirthdayGirl This Wegmans cake is only the size of two cupcakes and is $13! 😯 I swore to myself that I wouldn't ask my son to buy it again, after the one he bought for Mother's Day was smaller and $2 more than my birthday cake last year, but here we are, ha ha! 😅 I told him to buy cheap flowers to offset the price of the cake (it's the Ultimate Chocolate Mini Cake if you are wondering and I love it). 💐 I haven't made up my mind what I want my birthday book to be. 📗✨ by @canniffshewants2

FIFTEEN YEARS SMOKE FREE, YEAH BABY! 🚭 And don't let anyone tell you that you have to quit cold turkey. I cut down over a ten month period until I was only smoking half a cigarette in the morning and half in the evening, then I quit. I only had mild cravings for two weeks. #IQuitSmoking #SmokeFree by @canniffshewants2

The name Juneteenth is a portmanteau that combines the words June and nineteenth. Its origins date back to June 19, 1865, when the last group of people enslaved in the southern U.S. were informed of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation. President Abraham Lincoln had signed the Emancipation Proclamation more than two years earlier, on Jan. 1, 1863, declaring that everyone held as a slave was, and would continue to be, free. June 19, 2025, marks the fifth consecutive year that Juneteenth is a federally recognized United States holiday. Many Americans have celebrated it annually for more than a century, even though the holiday was not officially added to the national calendar until 2021. #Juneteenth by @canniffshewants2

MOTHER'S DAY! ❤ For Mother's Day yesterday Sebastian went to Wegman's to get my favorite cake... the Mini Ultimate Chocolate Cake and yellow tulips. The tiny cake was $13 ($2 more than it was for my birthday in October) and it was smaller. 😯 It's about the size of two cupcakes now. 😬 I might have him bake a cake for me next year. 😏 It's so delicious, though. 💸 *swipe* I also received a bottle of expensive French grenadine for making my shirley temples and *swipe* a gardening book to add to my Beatrix Potter collection! 📗🌿 I also had pizza for breakfast! 🍕 It was a wonderful day. 🤗 #MothersDay #MothersOfSons #sons by @canniffshewants2
