Hang Dribble — is when you pick up your dribble slightly off the floor and hold the ball momentarily while reading the defense, without fully ending your dribble

Why use it

Read the defense — pausing briefly lets you see how the defender reacts. Are they rushing at you? Sagging? Helping? That dictates your next move.

Great year of development with @pinewoodboysbasketball standout and @furmanmbb commit Kai Parris.

This year was about building the foundation for the next level—getting stronger in the weight room, learning to play with pace, embracing physicality, and developing more confidence as a ball handler and scorer off the dribble.

But what separates Kai isn’t just the talent. It’s the work ethic. He has a willingness to be coached, compete, and consistently put the work in when nobody is watching. That’s what translates to the next level.

It’s time to bring the basketball community back together.
