Packaged and ready to deliver to @Quintessentially English ~ where art meets alchemy. Todays small selection join others of my Entomology series of mounted prints. They sit nicely within this 17th centuary Lacock building. Insects are timeless, these prints are great for gifting any time of year!

These new moments of contentment are so touching. A whole new 'boy and his dog' adventure lies ahead. In baby steps .....perhaps from first support when learning to walk to constant companion at his side, Gus is just the perfect gentle giant any child could hope to know 🥰

Possibly the last of autumn flowers for my windowsill. But I hope not, I created a garden for wildlife with several plants that can be reliable for cut flowers. Flowers in the house from the garden, a joy.

A lovely last day in Edinburgh. Three of my favourite places, Stock Bridge with its great selection of cafés and character, the Botanical Gardens, always uplifting and strolling along the Water of Leith. The sky this evening from our window at The Playfair, Donaldsons.

A morning visitor the common darter dragonfly blending in with the camouflage of the fennel and carrot flowers. A garden to greet wildlife, mostly insects so far.

Smell the sweetpeas?! My favourites, a huge bunch picked from 3 areas of the garden. Encouraging repeat flowering has the advantage of flowers in vases in several rooms. I want to keep smelling these all summer long.

It has been over 55 years since these paintings were first framed. They were originally a set of four bird paintings, my sister and I shared them between us after our father passed away almost 27 months ago. I remember him painting the hoopoe in paricular, I was about 7 years old. We lived in Cyprus then.
I needed to reframe them as they were in very worn out frames. I look forward to hanging them here in our new home. I am happy with the muted pale wood frames the two elements come together well.

Catching the last rays. Looking west to the fading sun on the skyline. After enjoying a great dinner outdoors on the patio the sun is finally disappearing from view. What a glorious summer's day☀️ shame summer is so short lived these days! One more day before the rain sets in.

Flowers in the house, the scent of sweetpeas and phlox fills the air today. Simple pleasures are lifes offering and not to be overlooked when finding ones own 'Happy'. Sweetpeas I picked from the garden yesterday evening. The heavy rain had taken its toll on the phlox and one large stem was severed from the plant. Enjoying them indoors! Enjoy your Sunday ☀️
