Happy Harvest Moon! 🌕

Take some time to slow down. Enjoy it and don’t feel guilty! We’re supposed to be fattening up and getting sleepy right about now. Embrace your inner bear 🐻 taken in Olympic Peninsula, Washington by @capellagrows

Put your Halloween decorations to good use protecting your fruit trees!

The first 2 years we had the farm, bears were breaking our trees trying to get to the fruit we couldn’t even harvest yet. Popped a couple of battery operated, noise and motion activated ghosts in the orchard and voila! No more broken trees. Should’ve set up game cams to catch some of the fun.

Don’t worry! No beats are harmed and we leave plenty of discarded apples far away from the orchard for any critter that’s feeling peckish.

What do you think of our fix? Better yet, did you try it??

Summer 2026 never really seemed to arrive and now it’s time to say goodbye. Tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox and I am equally as excited for Fall as I am sad to see the summer slip away.

What about you? Team summer or team fall? 🌞 🍁
