POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

four years ago today, i released my debut album, “forest of fairytales”.

today i relistened and i realized i need to push through anything that’s difficult because whether or not i’m ready, things have to happen. at the time this released i remember obsessing over the details to an insane extent. while now i see it as good ideas and varying levels of execution, how a creation ages isn’t as important as what you learn from it. that’s something that i really needed to ponder during the final stages of the album.

i’ll be back with the album announcement :)

“one million miles a second” is out now!

initially i intended for this song to be on the album after “tracks”, but as i showed it to friends and listened to it more, i realized i couldn’t wait to put it out. what’s crazy is how perfectly it fit in to the record, and how much my personal hardship aligns with the story of the character in the album.

shoutout to jesse (@jwhiting07), one of my friends who played his magic piano on the record and helped me to take it to the next level. i’m so thankful we met, it was such a fulfilling semester of hanging out and recording piano at the studio together!

thanks to all of my friends who listened to the song and helped me figure out how to mix this beast, it genuinely took me two months and 20+ different mixes to get it right (it’s still not perfect, but i realized it was just time to put it out).

i know the album has been a long time coming, and i promise it’s on the way. there’s still a good amount left to be done, but i don’t want to rush it. the wait will be worth it i promise. i’ll be back with the third single hopefully soon :)
