I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. I can't believe this is the cover for my book!! Thank you @darkroomdove for being such a phenomenal photographer and allowing me to use your work for my cover.

My blurbers (and two of my favourite poets!) @conyerclayton and @matarose had some very nice and generous words for my book you can see here too.

It's now available for pre-order! Pre-orders are so important for Canadian authors and make a big difference for how many copies are printed and how it is marketed. If you're able to preorder a copy (it will officially be available Sept 17) it would mean a lot to me. Requesting it through your local library is just as effective and free!

Diane Seuss says every day is the anniversary of something. Anniversaries are a returning, reliving past iterations of yourself, of a place that no longer belongs to you.
5 years ago today we survived the worst night of our lives; a drive-by shooting that left Kev with a bullet in his leg.
But also, 4 years ago on the same day, we hiked a perfect fall forest and got engaged in a little cabin.
2 years ago, we travelled out west on my book tour and spent an amazing two weeks meeting all my poet/writer friends and spending time with my recently found uncle and his husband.
And last year, on this same day I was heavily pregnant, awaiting the arrival of my first and only child.
This year, on the same day we almost died five years ago, I hold my son close and smell his baby head, the layers of all my previous years melting away

This toad is looking for work! Want a free way to enhance the vibes of your shop? Look no further! The Wandering Poem Dispensary is available and doesn't require much space, or vacation days.

We're looking for local businesses to partner with and folks interested in having us attend their events. Literary festivals/bookshops/vintage shops/ cafes/art galleries/ tattoo shops/book launches... There's really no bad place for a poem.

The Wandering Poem Dispensary is a travelling vending machine peddling poems across Ontario. We publish little poems with a big presence on broadsides the size of a pack of gum.

Our first batch of featured poets will be: Sarah Yi-Mei Tsiang, Sadiqa de Meijer, Kirsteen MacLeod, Otoniya Juliane Okot Bitek, Jason Heroux, Y.S. Lee, and Nancy Jo Cullen.

We will open submissions in October. Everyone is invited to submit; the only requirement is that the poem must be 18 lines or fewer. We’re also looking for mini artwork to accompany the poems. Subscribe to the Substack in our bio to get submission calls in your inbox!
