We have a fully functioning bathroom!! Still finishing paint and whatnot but I’m so proud of us. For such a small space this was such an undertaking. The vanity was an old desk left on the property. Each room is using something found on the property. I’ll share more as we progress. #ruralhouserenovation #villagelife by @capn_dee

#renovation update! Sorry been MIA but been busy working. It’s been 88 days of non stop and we’re both exhausted. Almost done with the house and then we move onto the rental@unit #serbia #rurallife taken in Lopatanj by @capn_dee

The last 2 months have been patching walls, hauling dirt, septic, and new electrical — all while living out of buckets

Cutting electrical into a mud brick house, I was not prepared. #Renovating in rural #Serbia? Definitely an adventure. Finding materials, finishes, and contractors willing to come to our tiny #village was no easy task.

Last night we finally finished #upcycling an old table left on the property into our kitchen. The old wood made the prettiest countertop. We literally danced with joy getting to do dishes in a real sink after months of buckets.

Still no bathroom… but we’re close taken in Lopatanj by @capn_dee
