Cap’n’slog7.11.26: summer expedition AAR:We Finally arrived home in the early morning hours of 7.10, after an impressive display of driving endurance by the first mat; the whole crew relieved to be off the road and and glad to see our four-legged Family again, who were Excited to have us back home as well. Cap’n’s log :7.4.26- thanks to first mate dhosges17’s excellent planning, we found ourselves in a beautififul spot to enjoy America’s250th birthday, with a lovely view of a beautiful pice of the Gulf of America, with a pre-arranged set-up of canopy, chairs and. IceChest That we didn’t have to arrive early and fight to claim like the land run of ‘89. by @capns.log

Happy 1year birthday to these two furry terrorists( Shyian-calicoand juniper -tortoiseshell we Shanghai’d onto to crew last year They’re constant fun with their Hyper antics and silly noises . They won’t travel on expeditions with us, of course, but are tons of fun at home as they don’t take orders well at all; but Almost instantly endeared themselves to the whole crew love the little rascals to death oven when they’re javiving zoomies in the middle of the night and asking us up or shy is yelling for Makenna loudly Outside her bedroom door ( she loves Kenna and follows her around when she’s home from UCO by @capns.log

We were able to safely get home this evening and are settling in to out natural environment # big thanks to momfor babysitting our home and pets while we were away it’s nice to know they’re in good cRe# we did experience one unfortunate casualty on this trip though: one pair of my nice Oakley sunglasses. CP’n’s log: 7.10-13.25: one again ,the first mate meticulously planned aour annual summer expedition, taking us to theSE quadrant of the state, with a full agenda of outdoorsy family fun and excitement. She had secured a verynice cabin as a temporary operating base. We encountered local wildlifesnd svoiddd the legendary Bigfoot except for the gift shop statue pictured. All the restraints have gift shops down there I bet the gift shops have gift shops. It must be in the building codes in hotcha town, OK#. THE FIRST MATE EVEN SUCURED ALTERNATIVE TRSNSPORTATION FOR SOME MORE REMOTE EXPLORATION OF TRAILS INTHE OUCHITA NATIONAL FOREST taken in Broken Bow, Oklahoma by @capns.log

Capn’s log, 11.2.2024:
23 years ago. This evening, an unexpected call from a friend aroused me from the recliner in my dorm room to “come meet a girl” and we were instructed to sit on the couch and act like we liked each other before this first ever picture was snapped by one of her suite mates in Osu’s Allen hall. Praise the thanks to the Lord for this fortuitously life- shaping meeting and my friend Sean Benbrook for recognizing the opportunity & making that call, trusting that I was unlikely to already be anywhere else. We remained on that couch in deep conversation until roughly 4am and have rarely been apart since. Barely 18 months later we were saying vows that Lacey has demonstrate her commitment through actions over the last 18 months of extreme sickness and health - my loving nurse, advocate, therapist, a partner in all life things. by @capns.log
