One Cornell 57 confronted about not reporting the group chat and for not showing shame.

It’s me prodding the shouty people again. (I know.) but also me explaining that I don’t think the man in the video is one of the names Cornell 7 but one of the 50 ‘witnesses’ of the group chat and why it is important we make the distinction when possible. Basically this shit was tiring decades ago, let’s not burning ourselves out by taking on rage based on misinformation. by @cappycrash

Slow Horses S06 E03 Resurrection

I guess all seasons have the clunky episodes. But when you binge watch shows like I do, they don’t stick out.
However, when you’re getting your fix on a weekly basis, it stick out. You feel it. Then if you watch it on the back of Ted Lasso, it really does feel like a short change week.
Our horses are all split up and I think it bit of more than it could chew by trying to track them all in the one episode.
There was too much focus on River (hot take, but he’s REALLY pissing me off this series… and I’m not sure he’s actually done anything wrong) and the episode was way too light of Jackson Lamb.
It was so very piecemeal and while I know everything was needed, it’s left me wanting the next episode more than I have the previous weeks. by @cappycrash

Ted Lasso S04 E09 Mae Rides the Bus

It’s episodes like this one that make Ted Lasso exceptional. It is why we have award ceremonies.
I cried at multiple times throughout the episode and even the most stone cold, heartless bastards will be sobbing by the time the credits roll.
Me, I cried out of happiness, out of pride, out of sadness and even heartbreak.

What I will say though, we’ve got a lot to cover in the final episode and it’s going to be a nail bitter. by @cappycrash

Do not ever tell me JK Rowling cares about the protection of women.
This would be the perfect time to use her voice. A valid and absolute cause. But NOTHING. Tumbleweeds.

Same thing happened when Gisele Pelicot was on trial. Nothing. Not a word about her fight, or how brave she was wavering he anonymity.
Instead JK publicly, and wrongly, accused Imane Khelif as being trans. Something which could have led to her execution had her country taken the accusation seriously.

Feminist my fucking fat ass.
Fuck JK Rowling. by @cappycrash

Errrrrrr they literally just described the main trope of a revenge story as the reason it’s NOT a revenge story.
Please stop using films in your discussion of the Cornell 7 when you know fuck all about film literature.

Cornell 7
I’ve just seen this image being used to describe the rage women are feeling in regard to this horrific and deplorable act and the shocking, but unsurprising response by the college (uni?!).
What I then saw was people calling Nancy the hero of the story and that she’s wrongly seen as the villain.
HOWEVER.
It’s not lost on me the scene in which this comes from.
Nancy has just raped Chris. Chris was manipulated into sex by Nancy pretending to be Sarah. We’d already seen Chris say ‘no’ to Nancy.
It is rape.

I’m not trying to explore ‘all survivors matter’. I am simply pointing out that Nancy’s approach to revenge/justice is NOT the answer… and she’s problematic af. by @cappycrash

Mayday (2026)
Rating 12
Runtime 1h 50
Director John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein

About
When a U.S. Navy pilot on a top-secret mission during the Cold War gets trapped behind enemy lines, his only chance at survival is to form an alliance with an eccentric ex-KGB agent.

The Good
- Not since The Road to Eldorado has there been a perfect pairing involving Kenneth Branagh. It’s so utterly bonkers on paper but Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh work so well together.
- the soundtrack is spot on.
- It’s a perfect film for switching off the brain.

The Bad
- the CGI is obvious, even for first time viewing so I’d imagine it will be worse over time.

The Ugly
- It really should have gotten a cinematic release. by @cappycrash
