The first run is always the most important one.

We brought the city together — a crowd of runners hitting the streets to kick off eight weeks of training that’s going to take us somewhere we’ve never been. This week was all about the fundamentals: building a base, finding your footing in a new routine, and understanding that where you start is everything.

Big thanks to our pace athletes and to all of you who showed up for helping make this first run a reality.

The turnout said everything — LA was ready for Groundwork.

Really happy with my execution of this course particularly on one of the hottest race days when they were giving away finisher medals at mile 18

You all push me to dream bigger showing me what’s possible, and together we continue to smash the board

TY to all of my training partners, whether it be speed workouts or casual miles. This was my first cycle hitting 80-mile weeks and it didn’t feel like work because of friends throughout the running community, especially the homies @run_inverse

Special TY to @bj__cc for being my rolling aid station giving me feedback, hydration, cold towels, and also acting as security when the young bros were running up on me with their iPhones

Infinite love for my healer @aztitlan for taking care of me throughout this journey, physically, emotionally, soulfully

This course is mental, and I loved breaking apart the puzzle
