We’re proud to join this incredible roster of Asian American Business Leaders in an effort to address the challenges we face as a community.

What started out as a simple Zoom call amongst friends to address the terrible events in Atlanta and prior, has blossomed into an eye-opening show of strength and solidarity for a community that has too often taken a back seat to others that would see us as invisible.

It seems like an impossible battle, and it’s more than disheartening to receive what seems like an endless onslaught of WTF news, but we’ve seen glimpses of what is possible if and when we put our collective efforts towards a common cause for good.

To embrace hope and optimism in the face of overwhelming adversity is the only way out. Let’s do this together.

Carry forward.

Newsflash: This is what a Mahjong set is supposed to look like. You have to earn the worn down edges. Hand-carved from bone and bamboo, passed down generations. This set was inherited, not appropriated. 🤭 #mahjong by @capsulerob

There's a rally this Saturday at 3pm in #DTLA at MacArthur Park to protest the xenophobia and violence that has befallen the AAPI community this year as well as racism and bigotry against all.

It's freaking 2020, people are acting like Neanderthals and ostriches. This isn't a partisan issue. If you're not into the idea of #TorranceKaren, throwing battery acid at people, or beating up grandmothers, and supportive of the #blmmovement, keep making your voices heard.

Big ups to the creators of this #AllOfUs song: The OG Mountain Brother Chops Scott Jung @chopsmusic , Alan Z @alanzmusic and Wise Bexley @wisebexley and to the organizers of #TheyCantBurnUsAll @chinamac and @willlexham.

Working together to eradicate racism is a never-ending effort that's truly on everyone. ✊

100% of net proceeds go equally towards the All of Us Movement’s two efforts: 1) to the Black Futures Lab to continue our commitment to the Black community and 2) economic relief for small and medium-sized minority-owned businesses affected by COVID-19.
The All of Us Movement (formerly All Americans Movement) unites communities to fight together for marginalized communities who are often disproportionately impacted by pandemics, economic hardship, and societal injustice. “If every man would help his neighbor, no man would be without help.” Help us help those who need help if you can and get an awesome tee shirt in the process. Thanks, everyone. xShannon

Very proud to have worked on these designs with some very talented people. I hope these images spark important conversations within and across our communities.

I was watching a great doc about the lives of Yuri Kochiyama and Angela Davis, when Angela gave a great response to Yuri’s question about what the word activism meant to her.

She said, “Do the work you’re able to do given the position you’re in at any given moment.” So here we are. Just me trying to do my part to help our country heal.

If you have the wherewithal, I’d love to have you support this great cause. Link to support in the bio.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Most people don’t know that Bruce was a very profound philosopher. The quote above is often attributed him, but was actually something that he learned while studying as a philosophy student at the University of Washington.

No matter, I think the quote is particularly relevant for our current times. I often wonder how an intellect like Bruce would handle our present situation.

I’m truly looking forward to watching the new documentary on him that premieres tomorrow night on ESPN at 6pm PST.

Oh, and this is how we gonna choke out racism.

James Casey interviews human rights activist Jane Elliott. Take notes. This is how we need to be talking about race and our inept “leaders”. #blackouttuesday #janeelliott #blacknouveau #allamericans #allofus by @capsulerob
