First test day in the #F2000 was a success!
.
It wasn’t without issues, but the engine is happy and healthy. Had to drop the redline down from 7500 to 6500 due to lots of drivetrain vibrations making it almost impossible to shift gears.
.
We lost reverse after the 1st session from the crazy vibrations, but who wants to go backwards? Couple other minor issues, but that vibration from the first session took its toll on the gearbox.
.
We got one hot lap attempt in the 3rd session which is this lap. Only using 4-6th gear, 3 year old Nankangs, car has no Front Sway Bar, so the rear is also disconnected, and a 6500rpm limit. With this in place, top speed was only 121mph as you can see on the back straight I just coast almost half of it lol.
.
4th session the rear tire caught the fender and cut it to the cords and it also wouldn’t go into 6th gear over 3000rpm.
.
Solid test day. We learned a bunch. Spare trans is already ready to go in and back in to testing soon!

What’s the point of owning lifted trucks if you don’t use it to be dumb with your friends and kids? Took a camping trip to Michigan with Ben, Mike and all the kids for the last few days and it was very much needed

The look of acceptance when I realized we were gonna be swapping Alex’s transmission trackside. Racecars are fun aren’t they? Lol #twerkteamracing #carsaredumb #f2000 #f136swap by @captain_backslap

8 years ago, at 5am God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl and completely changed our lives and opened up our capacity to love forever.

Your name means “God’s gift to man(kind)” and He have given us beyond our wildest imagination and expectations through you. Thank you for loving deeply, challenging us to think past our current situations, speaking life relentlessly, for praying fervently, turning any dull moment into a party, and for creating without boundaries. You are an inspiration not only to your Mimi Baba and Chippy, but to everyone you meet. Welcome to your year of new beginnings! I love you Snickerdoodle! #mimisgirl by @captain_backslap
