How good when a plan comes together. Took my mate from the Netherlands out to chase some headland mackerel in the kayaks. Top of the tide coinciding with sunrise gave me a lot of confidence. Headland pelagics this time of year is a goer when the swell is big and the boats can’t get to them, get a kayak. Hooked up to 4 but only converted two. Few smokings on surface lures was a fun 30min session. End result 15kilo of mackerel fillets and a bit of exercise @kayakspecialists by @captain_burley

Can’t believe I cracked the magical meter Barra on the first Barra trip away in the NT. Every fisherman’s dream! Thanks to @visionsportfishing the boys have it dialled there. We all boated good fish and had ball. Stevo went above and beyond to get us fish when the fishing got hard @shivaelementalimagery @lorddorje @koah_burnie @clarriehallfishingcharters by @captain_burley

Thanks @jarrah_tutton for the long range sniper amongst the crowds and got me my first barrel in 7yrs. Few lips to the head were had too. Froth levels were so high, cant wait for the next big swell. Let’s go! by @captain_burley

3 day recon trip with @cavyfishing to an island and we scored some tuna off the beach on spin. Sight casting to these guys was a mad high and laughs all round. All caught on @cavy_brand lures. Life is good 🙌♥️ by @captain_burley

Looking back at my first marlin today with all this non fishable weather. How good is ya first one! Since taken up marlin fishing a few months back my boat has hooked 9 landed 4 and had a few more hits and misses, how fun! It’s got the good mojo. What a day off tweed! Dunwerkin scored the good water and got the fish. Landed 4 blues from 5. How good when you execute a plan. 6 strikes all on the @redonkulouslures provided the goods. The bullet head in longer rigger got piled on all day @argusboatworks the boat exceeded expectations and raised fish like nothing I’ve seen before by @captain_burley

Happy Father’s Day legend! One of the most unique men I have ever met, so lucky you were my Dad. We only lost him 10months ago and I’m still angry about how it all went down and how we were let down by by the system, and circumstances surrounding it. He was only 72, way too young for such a beautiful loving human that was always there when times got hard.
