Chance, Chauncey, chancy pants, chancellor, old man, my best friend for the last 15 years. You will be greatly missed. Nearly Everyone you ever met you loved, and nearly everyone loved you. You had so much personality and always knew how to make me laugh, and comforted me through all of my struggle and strife, and always there to celebrate my wins too. You’ve lived in more houses then you had rotations around the sun , you can blame your father and his rough active addiction years for all the broke homes, living in cars, hopping trains, and sleeping under stars. You had such a care free attitude and taught me how to let lose and not take everything so damn serious. Tell mom hi for me, I know she’s waiting to pick you up at the gates with a cheeseburger and French fries in hand. I’ll Love you forever my sweet baby boy!

When you live your life one day at a time, sometimes it’s easy to forgot how much progress has been made. On a day to day basis I just keep showing up and doing the work and don’t see much change in my appearance or my health on a daily basis. And not everyday is easy, most of them are not anywhere near perfect, and sometimes I don’t put the effort in at all, but I strive to be as consistent as possible and not steer too far off the path even on bad days. And after years of trying to live a healthier life, putting down the drugs and alcohol, picking up the weights and learning to love myself in a new way, the changes are clear as day. I still often see myself as the insecure fat kid, trying to always please people with humor and kindness, trying so hard not to be the elephant in the room in a physical sense. And while I know that I’m always gonna be a large dude, at least now I can be a healthy and athletic large dude who’s not so insecure in his own skin. I’m proud of where I’m at and where I’m heading, and I don’t regret where I came from, but I also refuse to go back to that version of me. 3 years sober and 6 years of being consistent in the gym has gotten me here. Excited to see where it takes me.

In the midst of my leg day workout I decided to do an entry for the 1000 lbs club and do the 3 big lifts back to back. My math was off and I ended up hitting 1105 lbs. 425 deadlift, 365 squat, 315 bench. All done within 10 mins #1000lbsclub by @captain_kelan
