I posted this picture yesterday without any text. I felt I needed to post it, yet couldn’t find the words to go with it. I have had time to process and yet still compose on the fly… so here we go. Shit spelling and grammar and all.
This shot was taken in lockdown by friends that wanted to help during that time. To create beautiful content for us to use for when we needed it. It also helped keep our minds on the job at hand, Which was to continue to supply Cape Town with the pastry and bread survival packs and bake loads of loaves for the soup kitchens in and around the city. Just typing the word “lockdown” gives me goosebumps. It was a crazy time. We all had to dig deep to get through it, and we did. A couple a scars here and there but ultimately superficial ones. The support from our loyal customers was and is unwavering. Our Landlords, Tim and Eed, were incredible during that time and they continue to be incredible. 🖤🖤🖤

I believe this shop to be a sanctuary for many. A healing through good food, coffee, laughter and community. Many friendships have been born out of Jason Bakery which is a very heart warming thought. XOXO.

I love this building.
