Another original costume in the books: El Mundo from Lotería! Filled my heart with joy having some people realize who I was without needing to explain it🇲🇽❤️ Took a lot of self-confidence, that’s for sure. #halloween2026#loteria#elmundo by @captainehd

I am entering 30 with so much fraternal love from my personal, and chosen families, in and out of school that is. I am starting this chapter in my life with an inexplainable drive to always progress yet remaining curious, showing grace, and self-compassion.
I am left being anchored and grateful with the exponential trajectory my life has taken me ever since moving to Las Vegas last year (CRAZY to say this), and am determined to keep the pedal to the metal to see how far I will go, with grit and self-affirmations to diminish my inferiority complex against myself.
I would not have been here without the help of my friends and mentors, and can simplistically say “thank you for everything.” Sending every ounce of love to everyone I have met thus far, and here’s to more.❤️

PS: I will try my best to respond to all the loving birthday messages!🫂 by @captainehd

I hardly ever share recordings of my playing due to some lingering insecurities, but this excerpt of Don Juan with the UNLV Symphony Orchestra has been a small victory and wish to share that with you all.
Here’s to one of many in the future, and I wouldn’t have done it without the personnel involved in this symphony, on and off the stage.❤️📯 by @captainehd

It is a new school year, and I have not posted in a while.
13 months sober, and loving life and myself as the days fly by.❤️ by @captainehd

ENG: As I am recovering from my freshly-extracted wisdom teeth, I figured I’d make a post before it is too late.
If you were to have told me I would be celebrating my 1 year of sobriety at a Music Festival in Panamá, I probably would have looked at you and continued drinking myself.
This experience was life-changing to say the least. Witnessing the power of universal music-making was astounding, and left with so many amazing friendships I will hold near and dear to my heart. I still cannot wrap my head around this even happened. It is “see you later,” not a “Good-bye”📯❤️

Honestamente, todavía no he superado que esto he sucedido. No es “adiós,” pero es “Nos veremos otra vez”📯❤️ by @captainehd

What a miraculous ten months it has been. Monthly highlights ahead.
When a point contemplation and fear of denial turns into first-handedly witnessing a physical and spiritual transformation by “sticking with the winners” both in my collegiate career and sobriety.
I cannot thank the spirit of the universe enough for surrounding me with people who wish only but the best AND success for me after a broken and suffering period of my life. SO many people to thank, and will lovingly do so personally, or by working even harder and not fall by the voice of doubt by life’s assessments.
An experience, good or bad, is ALWAYS a learning opportunity. Some news coming up, but I feel that this is hefty enough.❤️ I love you all. by @captainehd

Look how far you’ve come, Eddie. From a kid living in the “barrio” from border city Laredo, Texas to now performing a concerto in Las Vegas. Opportunities come far and few between for people like us, and it is our job to take that opportunity because you never know when it will happen again. Life is about taking risks, and if you never take them, you’ll never know what you are capable of.
Y’all, this experience has been gaggy nonetheless. Wouldn’t have done this without the new friends I have made and sticking to my sobriety.❤️ by @captainehd

Figured I’d share on here first that I have won UNLV’s Concerto Competition with Richard Strauss’ Horn Concerto No. 1 along with two other FANTASTIC musicians! I have tried this out before but I was not in the best mental headspace during my time at SHSU (literally), but so grateful that I am applying myself as “locked in” as I can now.
If you’re interested in attending, it will be held on Wednesday, March 25th in Ham Hall at 7:30PM—let me know!❤️📯 by @captainehd
