Celestial prayer
Take my spirit in the wind,
To land where spirits know.
Rise to heavens beyond dark clouds.
From anguish down below.

I see my self in distant light.
With shadow close behind me.
My shadow takes evaporate,
Where light is all inside see.

Wash away my earthly soils.
My indiscretions mend.
Wash away all evil thoughts.
Let whole my soul transcend.

I seek to blend with everything.
And everything with me.
Become a part of all that is,
And is a part of me.

Meld with the cosmos…
Know all there is to know.
Immersed expanse in plenum.
Fuse with celestial glow.

So that is it.
Move from this shell…
To shell that is beyond.
And be at peace,
Mana for feast…

The thought just dawned on me…
That I was here before.
Which I can prove I have been…
And will be forever more.

You see I’m made of particles,
Existent in all time.
And if you reframe thoughts this way,
Your thoughts will be sublime.

The Hindus’ think we come back,
A living heaven or hell.
When learned we attain Moksha,
When we’ve learned our lessons well.

They kind of got it right…I think,
But in the end we’ll see…
Because we’re woven matter,
And that matter’s you and me.

If I am you and you are me,
Our matter is the same.
Synonymous with everything…
So, matter is to blame.

I conclude we have been,
And I think we always will.
Our matter doesn’t matter,
‘Cause our matter is just fill.

So just remember this my friend,
That we are never dead.
Because we’re made of everything…

I think the world will never find…
A person’s dirt as good as mine.
I’m made of 40 trillion cells…
And when I rot I’ll really smell.

I’m full of carbon, iron and zinc.
Which helps plants grow,
At least I think.

And don’t forget my nitrogen,
Which plants adore…
Plus vitamins!

Lipids, water, magnesium,
Nucleic acid, calcium.
And don’t forget my oxygen,
And phosphorus and hydrogen.

I’ll make the grandest compost pile,
Right after I decay a while.
I’ll be the best dirt,
Don’t you think?
The plants will love me,
Aft my stink.

I’m world class dirt.
You can’t deny.
I’ll be the best,
Come when I die.

So toast to me,
I found my fate.

Thank you

Thank you for the air I breathe.
In cold…to keep me warm.
Thank you for the clothes I wear,
Strong shelter…safe from storm.

I thank you for the food I eat…
My friends and family too.
My life is blessed.
I can’t complain…
The beauty that I view.

There’s beauty in almost everything…
Of that I can’t deny.
There’s beauty in the songs we sing.
There’s beauty in the sky.

I sit upon a mountaintop.
And look out on the spance.
I thank you for the meadow’s flowers…
The breeze that lets them dance.

I thank the earth for health I have.
The time I have to spend.
A mind to think ‘bout everything.
Ill thoughts that I transcend.

I count my blessings one by one,
But can’t recall them all.
I try to help most everyone,
I think that I recall.

So just remember this my friend,
To thank our Mother Earth.
