You can’t order parts for these old girls off the reg or even the chassis number, they have been swapped and chopped so much you need to get the part number directly off the part your looking for or you will be setting yourself up for a headache 🤣🤣🤣 by @captainjackspanners

Episode 5 of the YT channel we go back in time to appreciate the old but magnificent engineering involved in the foxton locks staircase.

Throw back to crouch years 🧡 Very fond memories! The recovery game levelled up my ability as a mechanic ten fold! I’d recommend any career mechanics go do a few years at a recovery company, it’s brutal but boy the experience you gain with on the spot problem solving in stressful situations will set you up for life 💪🏻 I learnt a lot from some incredibly talented recovery operators in my time at crouch 🧡 by @captainjackspanners

Couple things to take into account when working on rolfo deck locks.. you can screw in a cylinder too far which will give you a poor bite on your lock.. by @captainjackspanners

There is so much cleaver engineering right under our noses! These lock gates for instance, id never given them much thought before now but when you dig into the history and discover the principles behind the design they are actually quite fascinating.
