Successful day of catching yesterday taking some clients out on my personal boat. It by no means came easy - a 17 hour mission in total and we had to grind to get our fish. We landed 4 mahi on one of the only kelps we saw all day and got sawed off by some wahoo. We then took it into extra innings with an epic yellowfin bite at sunset on the way back in after we had put all the gear away. Persistence pays off and everyone is eating good tonight!

Thanks to @westcoastmarinesandiego for the F1 pit stop style service today. I was able to get a clients boat and my personal boat hauled out, serviced, and both put back in the water before 10AM this morning. Best in the biz! 💪🏻

We trolled hard for marlin and wahoo yesterday but came up short on that program so we switched gears and deployed the air assets. @ricothepilot dialed us in on some killer kelps and a capsized boat holding the goods we needed for the day.

Always a great day on the docks in Newport Beach, but showing this Pardo 38 today made it even better. My client was seriously impressed - and honestly, it’s hard not to be.

While it’s not built for fishing, it’s absolute perfection for cruising San Diego Bay or making effortless runs out to Catalina. Italian styling, expansive walkaround decks, and an incredible open layout for entertaining. I’m hooked!

Back to the roots! I had a super fun trip back on Cape Cod visiting family and friends. The fishing was slow but there was no shortage of good times to be had. I love living in San Diego but it’s always great to go visit The Cape.

The ultimate offshore day: calm seas, boiling fun-size yellowfin tuna all around the boat, and climate-controlled comfort at the helm.

We scrapped our inshore fishing plans early and pointed it offshore to the tuna pens. Small anchovies were much more effective than large sardines or artificials today, and the sea lions were definitely a factor.

With all the heat and humidity we’ve been having it sure was nice to be able to run the A/C at the helm today to cool off in between drifts.

Days spent on the water are always the best days.

I had the opportunity to jump on a badass Cabo 40 flybridge for some local fishing on Labor Day in less than ideal conditions. We connected with giant bonito and bass and lost a couple yellowtail to the sea dogs. Ended the day grilling and chilling at the beach watching the surf and the sunset.

Fun fishing this past weekend on the @apollosportfishing 1.5 day. Mother Nature prevented us from sending it 100 miles west so we executed plan B and steamed 80+ miles south to a new zone for steady action on the anchor. Thanks Captain Justin and crew for busting your asses so we could kill fish and have fun!

Missioned accomplished yesterday taking out a new client to the Kusler Yachts family on his new Regulator 28. We got his boat fully outfitted, baited up, and brought home enough dinner for 3 families.
