Bushwacked and scrambled through 30 miles of old logging trails looking for fish, only to finally find them in the stream right to a main road

Fishing with @judbrockfishing the other day with an eye on drum - probably put 30 miles on that skiff in the surf chasing redfish, bluefish, one fish, two fish (Spanish and spots). I had a hard deadline but he sniffed out the big pod of reds with 5 minutes to go so we boated one with a quickness to complete the Dr. Seuss slam and jammed it back to the dock. If you're from ENC you already know, but if you're considering an inshore trip in North Carolina, Capt. Jud Brock is the man, hit him up.

Is there anyone who knows these marshes better than @judbrockfishing? Great guy, great guide, gorgeous day to be on the water, and even some nice fish as a bonus.

Freshwater rinse after driving in the surf. These Jeep boys gotta be all dramatic about everything. .
.
The #RangeRover is on O.E. @arnottair with 32" @pirelliusa Scorpions. The #jeepwrangler has a 4" lift and is on 33's because apparently the 35's were "terrible for gas mileage." C'mon Mac, gas is $1.85!

Capt. Jack, drum hunter. "Lunch-hour bank fishing" might be the new "half-day inshore." Even with the pizza surcharge it's cheaper than putting gas in the boat 😁

Deer, waterfowl, and small-game seasons are over. Fishing and turkey hunting are months away. Seems like a good time to head into the swamp! In North Carolina we have a year-round hunting for wild hogs, which are cross-breeds of the European wild boar and feral pigs which have escaped our many hog farms (often as a result of hurricanes). The two main difficulties in hunting them are 1) that they thrive in areas that are extremely difficult to get to, deep in thick swamps where there are very few roads and 2) NC hunters jealously guard the groups they know about. Instead of eradicating this invasive and destructive species, many of our hunters protect and preserve them as a game animal! I have a trick up my sleeve this year, and will be trying a new tactic to get way back into the swamps. Hopefully it will hep us bring home the bacon :)

The second picture is a 500lb (230 kilo) hog taken in NC. The trail camera footage is old footage of where we will be hunting this year. .

Whether you are passionate about the future of our hunting heritage or are simply a lover of the outdoors, you need to check out the Monocular video awards. If nothing else, you'll see some amazing cinematography. Very proud to support @pace_brothers and @bloodorigins for their exceptional films which are not only brilliantly and captivatingly executed, they also have the potential to open hearts and minds and positively affect the discourse surrounding hunting worldwide.
