من أبرز مساجد القاهرة الفاطمية، ويقع في نهاية شارع المعز لدين الله الفاطمي بجوار باب الفتوح.

Some places are photographed.
Others are experienced, remembered, and carried with you long after you leave.

For me, Mohamed Ali Palace was never simply another architectural destination. It became a journey through time — a place where architecture, history, craftsmanship, light, and silence come together in a way that makes every frame feel like a story of its own.

Across these twenty photographs, I wanted to capture more than the appearance of the palace. I wanted to capture its character — the monumental presence of its architecture, the elegance of its proportions, the rhythm of its arches and openings, the richness of its ornamentation, the intricate details that reveal themselves the closer you look, and the atmosphere created by the relationship between light, shadow, space, and time.

Every corner carries a different expression.

From the grand architectural compositions to the smallest decorative details, from the textures that have survived through generations to the quiet spaces where light slowly finds its way across the walls — there is something deeply cinematic about this place.

The palace feels like a meeting point between different architectural influences, cultures, and artistic traditions, yet somehow everything comes together as one unforgettable visual language.

And that is what I tried to preserve through this series.

Not just a building.
Not just a historic landmark.
But a living piece of architectural memory.

After countless shoots, edits, stories, details, late nights, and hundreds of frames throughout this architectural journey, this project marks something very special for me.

It is the final architectural post of 2026.

A chapter that started with a passion for capturing the identity of Cairo through its architecture, and ends here — surrounded by history, craftsmanship, and a place that deserves to be remembered far beyond the camera.

Twenty frames.
One final chapter.
And an entire year of architecture behind them.

Until architecture returns in 2027.
For now, I leave this chapter where history speaks the loudest.
