2nd place in the small boat division and the daily on day2 at the @ombsailfishchallenge. Couldn’t tell you how bad the first day was, livewell dying on us 5 + times to start the morning. Most baits died or looked like💩 by 9:45am. Add in the worst I’ve seen in seaweed, and maybe 2 hours overall with lines in the water and we still Raised three, missed the one that ate and pulled hook. DAY 2 was the day to get right. 6-7 on sails and rushed up the board quickly. Lost by one but we at least gave it hell. Thank you @onemorebite72 for letting us use the 24 Islamorada. Tailing fish everywhere. What a day to live in Stuart,Fl. Perfect setup for site fishing most of the morning. Big jack schools🔨🔨, some active tarpon( biggest one I jumped off around 150lb), and even found some schooled up beach snook that were fired up. Running the beach was my favorite kind of fishing for a reason. Today was a day to remember. The best feeling is having kids fishing and things go perfect. The addiction kicked in heavy for this young man. Another snook in the 40s. Saturday vibes finding big fish on light tackle. @tightenupfishing. big shoutout to @blackpearlcastnets making my life easy with an amazing product. I carry 10’ 5/8 mesh for the mullets and 12’ 1/4 mesh for pilchards and threads. Both are a must have. by @captjberry22
