What a long year. I honestly wouldn’t trade it if I could though. I have learned an immense amount about myself and life over the last year and am happy to be growing and getting stronger every day. Life can throw some absolutely crazy things in your path sometimes and I’m overwhelmed by the love from the people who have helped me get through every day this year. I was extremely happy to be able to celebrate my birthday this year although I didn’t get to do any jumping out of planes I am grateful to be here today, standing and back to my (crazy) self somewhat☺️ Here’s to 24 and whatever it may have in store by @captured.by.kg

There is something beautiful about realizing the chapter that broke you was only preparing you for the one that would heal you.

If you told me from that hospital bed that this would be my life in 2 years I never would have believed you. I am beyond grateful for what has been able to come from such heartache and pain in my life, and even more grateful to the people who have been a part of the journey. by @captured.by.kg

Grateful for this year and the people I got to spend it with💕 so happy with how far I have come in my recovery and so thankful to those who have been a part of watching me change tremendously over the healing process. by @captured.by.kg

It’s been a bit more than a year, can’t say I’ve fully gotten past ripping my heart out but I’m so grateful to be where I am now.
When I see and feel my scars, instead of reminding myself all that I lost, I am pushed to thank God for the ability to still walk, and jump, and run, and move my body. We are so beautifully made it is absolutely astonishing the way we can literally and emotionally shatter into pieces and somehow mend back together. The way not only titanium and science but community, compassion, and God, can truly heal is amazing.
Starting over is painful and heartbreaking but learning how to get back up after being at our lowest is where we really learn who we are and how strong we can be ❤️ by @captured.by.kg
