I had only owned my camera for 3 days when I took these photos! I was still figuring everything out and practicing at my best friend’s shop, @_veesop_ ,while she was having a HUGE sale that weekend! 🛍️🤍

So much fun looking back at where my photography journey started — just me, my new camera, and lots of experimenting. 🥹📷

Unfortunately, Instagram crops the photos, so they aren’t shown in their full size. 🥲

Hier had ik mijn camera nog maar 3 dagen toen ik deze foto’s maakte! Ik was nog volop aan het ontdekken en oefenen in de winkel van mijn beste vriendin, @_veesop_ , En laat ze dat weekend nou nét een MEGA sale hebben! 🛍️🤍

Zo leuk om terug te kijken naar waar mijn fotografie-avontuur begon — gewoon lekker proberen, oefenen en ontdekken. 🥹📷

Soms vertelt een plek meer dan duizend woorden.

Op deze foto's zie je het onderduikershol in het Valtherbos bij Klijndijk. Tussen december 1942 en 11 april 1945 bood deze verborgen schuilplaats bescherming aan Joodse onderduikers en andere opgejaagden tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Dankzij de moed van verzetsmensen uit de omgeving konden zij hier, diep verscholen in het bos, de oorlog overleven.

Wanneer je hier vandaag de dag loopt, voelt het bos vredig. Juist die stilte maakt deze plek zo indrukwekkend. Het herinnert ons eraan hoe kostbaar vrijheid is en hoeveel moed daarvoor nodig was.

Sometimes, a place tells a story without saying a word.

These photos were taken at the hidden WWII shelter in the Valtherbos near Klijndijk, the Netherlands. From December 1942 until April 11, 1945, this underground hideout provided refuge to Jewish people and others forced into hiding during the Second World War. Hidden deep within the forest, it became a symbol of courage, hope, and survival.

Walking here today, the forest feels peaceful. It's hard to imagine the fear, uncertainty, and resilience that once filled this place. Visiting locations like this is a powerful reminder of how precious freedom truly is.

Mijn naam is Cheyenne, ik ben 23 jaar oud en sinds kort begonnen aan een nieuw avontuur: fotografie. 📸

Wat begon uit nieuwsgierigheid voor een lange tijd, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een hobby waar ik ontzettend veel plezier uit haal. Er valt nog ontzettend veel te leren, maar juist dat maakt het zo leuk.

Op deze pagina neem ik jullie mee in mijn fotografie-avontuur. Van mijn eerste foto's en leermomenten tot hopelijk steeds mooiere beelden van wildlife, natuur, dieren en alles wat mijn aandacht trekt.
