Dear Captives,

We hope you are exciting and looking forward to another beautiful edition of Captured Festival Malta. We are now into the final preparations and looking forward to welcoming guests from over 30 countries to this little island of Trance in just a few days time!

It is no secret that 2026 is proving an incredibly challenging year for festivals, with us being no acceptation to that. With hugely increased infrastructure costs all around, as well as abnormal weather patterns and a huge cost of living crisis for customers, everyone is feeling the pinch and we appreciate your support more than ever, so thank you.

We have a couple of small programming changes to announce. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Richard Durand and Agnelli & Nelson will no longer be performing at Captured Festival 2026 as previously advertised. We are hugely sorry about this and are currently rescheduling both bookings to the next available event. Please also note the Judgement Sunday’s event will now take place on the newly refurbished Rooftop Pool venue at Gianpula Village, and not Marrakech as previously stated. The new Soundsystem up there is kicking so you’re going to love it!

The weather is looking fantastic so make sure you pack your sun cream and hydration sachets. As well as your best dancing shoes as this is going to be 4 days where you just can’t stop!

Dear Captives,

As we move into autumn tactics after another beautiful and successful edition of Captured Malta, we know you are all eagerly waiting to hear next years dates drop so you can get your time booked off and plans in progress. We see you. We hear you. Unfortunately, we must break news that we know you won’t want to hear. After 3 amazing years in Malta, Captured Festival will be taking a break for 2027, for a much needed rest.

Don’t panic - this is not the end!

Captured is made up of a small and fiercely independent team, and whilst that provides so many positives and is the crux of what makes it so different and special in many ways, it is also means a huge load and financial weight to bare for the team members. The challenges that were faced for festival promoters in 2026 through barbaric wars, media hysteria, massively abnormal weather patterns, global financial crisis, rising production costs and everything else in-between, were simply unprecedented. We feel very lucky to have had the support we have, which has enabled us to still pull off the most amazing and magical 4 days in these testing times when so many others have cancelled or worse, totally gone under. For that we will always be grateful.

All positives being said, it would be no surprise to say 2026 has been, as ever, A LOT for us at Captured HQ. Whilst one half of us is primed and ready to get stuck back in, guns blazing, we also have other projects and careers to balance and consider, as well as *NEWSFLASH* the world still being in utter turmoil. Sometimes you just have to take a little step back, consider the full picture and allow time for things to breathe.

We know a lot of you are going to be gutted about this (because we certainly are!) and this decision was not an easy one. However with some really exciting opportunities and positive moves happening in other areas of our careers right now, putting Captured on temporary pause while things stabilise makes logical sense.

Just remember; For every set back, there is an unbelievable come back.

Captured 2026, The Island of Trance.
Over and out! 🫡

Now the dust has settled, we just want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you all to every single person that made the pilgrimage to Malta from all 4 corners of the globe for the 2026 edition of Captured Festival. Not only the wonderful clubbers, but the DJ’s, brands, agents and production staff, to the fabulous venues and all the infrastructure in between. A true multi cultural Trance-Atlantic experience. We couldn’t do it without you and appreciate every single one of you who helped contribute towards this beautiful 4 days of Trance music in the Med ✨🌍

It really was a magical late summer adventure but also gone in all but a total flash! What a ride to be part of, memories to last a lifetime! Exceptional sets all round, it really is hard to pick a highlight. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did ❤️

TODAY IS FINALLY THE DAY! 😍🙌

Captured Day 1 is kicking things off with - of course - the LEGENDARY Driftwood Sunset Trance Boat party!

All information for the full weekend has been emailed to lead bookers (check your spam!) but incase you missed it, here is some important stuff you need to know for today so please take a second to read so you don’t end up missing it and sad 😢

Meeting point is at SUPREME POWER BOATS on Sliema Harbour side opposite McDonalds at 18:30 (Look out for the big Driftwood flags!).

It is essential you arrive here BEFORE 18:30 - anyone arriving after this time will not be guarantied entry to the boat and will not be eligible for a refund. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, thank you!

4-day ticket holders, you will need to exchange your ticket for your festival wristband on arrival which will gain you access to all remaining events.

Please note, No drinks are allowed to be brought onto the boat. Bags will be searched upon entry by security.

The boat docks back around 22:30 and then it’s off to the official Opening Party with Craig Connelly at Passion Club in Paceville. We will have 2 party busses ready at the harbour to take you there (€3 fee) or you can go by cab. We should all be in Passion Club venue in Paceville (St Julians) for 22:45.

For anyone with just a boat party ticket who wants to join the Opening Party, tickets are available on the Captured website and on the door.
